Eliminate Excess Chest Fat With These Easy Tips!

Gail Davis
Excess chest fat is a condition known as gynecomastia. This condition affects up to 40% of all adolescent males during puberty, but the vast majority grows out of it and requires no special treatment. Technically, gynecomastia refers to the presence of actual breast tissue and can be a serious condition, requiring medical care. Pseudogynecomastia is the more common condition and refers to fatty tissue that can be addressed through diet and exercise.

There are simple steps that one can take to help eliminate Pseudogynecomastia or excess chest fat. The process isnŽt a quick one, but with diligence and consistency, success can be achieved. WeŽll discuss a few of the steps here.

One of the most significant remedies for this problem is to eat healthy on a regular basis. This would require learning about the food pyramid recommendations, learning to read and understand nutrition fact labels, and learning proper portion sizes. This is becoming a common remedy to a host of health problems and the importance cannot be minimized! Eating properly "consistently over time" is the best thing you can do for your health!

Another important step would be the elimination of sweets in general and sweet drinks in particular. Water should be the main source of hydration and all other drinks, with the exceptions of skim milk and unsweetened tea, should be saved for special occasions. Quite a bit of controversy surrounds the health implications of drinking diet soda. Some evidence indicates that it encourages weight gain.

It is impossible to downplay the significance of exercise in the fight against excess chest fat. A minimum of thirty minutes of cardio should be completed each day, with activities such as power walking, running, biking, swimming laps, racquetball, skating, basketball, biking, jumping rope, and dancing. In addition, weight training and target exercises for the upper torso should be included in the daily workout.

There are other easy steps that can be taken to deal with this condition, but these are by far the most important ones. Patience is necessary as it takes several months for the body to display the benefits of a new program. By following these steps, pseudogynecomastia can be eliminated or greatly reduced.
