Why Every American Should Support Cindy Sheehan in Her Effort to Unseat Nancy Pelosi

The time has come for all Americans, regardless of party affiliation or political ideology, to rally around a single cause. No, not ending the Iraq War. That´s a gimme to everyone but Republican politicians and the business elite that have been profiting from each drop of blood shed by American soldiers. The cause around which we can all rally is supporting Cindy Sheehan in her bid to unseat Nancy Pelosi.
Cindy Sheehan achieved her level of fame, or infamy if you are a complete idiot with absolutely no understanding of the real justification for George W. Bush´s illegal war in Iraq, by stalking the man responsible for her son´s needless murder: the President of the United States. Cindy Sheehan became the symbol of the almost completely ignored impetus to force the impeachment of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. The true symbol of that impotence and the frustration shared by anyone who aches at the knowledge that Bush and Cheney are actually going to get away with committing the worst crimes in Presidential history is Nancy Pelosi, however.
We all understood that there was no way in hell that a Republican Speaker of the House would introduce articles of impeachment against Bush and Cheney even if there was video of them murdering children. (And there may well be!) As long as the GOP controlled Congress, George W. Bush and Dick Cheney had carte blanche to break every law on the books without fear of investigation or justice. All that seemed to change in an instant when the Democrats took control of the Congress following the 2006 elections. And then, in the blink of an eye, Nancy Pelosi sent the message to the White House that their carte blanche had been extended for another two years. Impeachment was off the table. Strange words from a woman who had only received her historical distinction on the basis of promising to hold the White House accountable.
The removal of Nancy Pelosi from her seat in Congress is nearly as important as the removal of the Republicans from the Executive Branch. If (when) John McCain is elected or appointed President the presence of Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House will essentially act as a sign to John McCain that he need not bother worrying about committing impeachable offense. Nancy Pelosi ain´t going to bother her empty little head about such things. (If she weren´t so ugly, one might well confuse Nancy Pelosi with a supermodel; the IQ quotient appears to be roughly the same.) If a miracle occurs and a black man really is elected President in America in our lifetime (it won´t), then the presence of Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House will send the signal to Barack Obama that he´d better continue the policies of George W. Bush that Pelosi has been so fond of funding without compunction. Either way, Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House again means disaster for America.
Cindy Sheehan represents the finest choice imaginable. For Democrats it means that somebody who may actually care about America will be elected Speaker of the House. For Republicans it means never having to listen to Nancy Pelosi drone on and on about things she never actually plans to follow through with. For Americans everywhere, a Cindy Sheehan victory over Nancy Pelosi represents a triumph for America.
Isn´t it time we all had something to cheer about again? It´s been so very, very long.
