How does the RNC spell VICTORY?

The word victory seems to have great significance to the RNC. It is held high over our heads and admired as a lofty goal that we must achieve at any cost. The admittedly rhetorical, and far from objective, question that popped into my head is "How do you claim victory for a war that should never have been?"
What victory will balance out the grievous cost? The tens of thousands of innocents who have been killed or horribly wounded are paying dearly for events they had no part in. How can you win the hearts and minds of an entire generation of children in Iraq and Afghanistan who have seen their lives utterly destroyed with no just cause? How do we now dissuade them from allowing the bitterness of such losses turn them towards our real enemies? Prevent them from being recruited as the next wave of jihadists?
Where is the justice & fairness in our response to 9/11? The tragic and terrible deaths from 911 numbered less than 3,000. By all conservative estimates these deaths have been avenged 100 times over. Millions have been driven from their homes never to return. Those who claim direct responsibility have somehow eluded justice for seven long years. Our great nation has been virtually bankrupted by wartime profiteers and swindlers double billing us for meals our soldiers never ate or fuel that was never delivered.
The mushroom cloud now looming over us may be the many thousands of US families whose father or sons and daughters will never come home again. Over four thousand killed in action and more every day. Thousands of brave American soldiers, horribly injured and emotionally traumatized, can never return to the home they left either. They return to a bureaucratic machine that does not know them and scarcely cares to hear their story. They return to an indifferent Congress that repeatedly voted to cut Veterans benefits, a president who threatened to veto any legislation to increase to their benefits and insists we make tax cuts for the rich permanent while chanting Support Our Troops to any and all who dare to question the war . Even simply indexing the current VA funding to keep up with inflation was shot down. Bi-partisan legislation to update the old GI Bill to offer opportunities to vets who return to an economy featuring high unemployment, foreclosures and out of control fuel costs is stuck in limbo. The cost is a fraction of what we burn through on a daily basis to cover no-bid contracts for profiteers. This mushroom cloud will settle over America´s military families spreading the cancer of despair over all the lives it touches leaving them to struggle for the next generation and beyond with the aftermath of PTSD, escalating suicide rates, substance abuse, broken families and homelessness. Is this how you spell V-I-C-T-O-R-Y?
Operation Iraqi Liberation or O-I-L for short will go down amongst the greatest human tragedies of all time.
Clearly I have more questions than answers. But in objectively reviewing our choice for the next president I truly believe that Change for the better is spelled O-B-A-M-A.
