The 50/50 Strategy

Tom Jandt
Investing in stocks right now is extremely attractive due to the low valuations of many quality companies. Stocks also provide the added benefit of liquidity which gives comfort to investors, knowing they can produce capital quickly in the event of a financial emergency.

However, if you want steady income in retirement, it is a good idea to balance your investment portfolio with the right amount of leveraged assets in real estate to create a steady income stream in retirement and a sound equity base through long term capital appreciation of property.

We call this The 50/50 Strategy, which is to have 50% in Stocks and 50% in Real Estate. (In our opinion, Fixed Income assets such as Bonds, CD's, T-Bills, Mutual Funds, Municipal Bonds and Corporate Bonds should be avoided during a time of liquidity crisis in the financial markets)

Aggressive capital should be placed in stocks, with an emphasis on buying oversold sectors of the stock market and a monthly accumulation plan.

Conservative, long term investment capital should be deployed in less volatile assets such as income producing real estate, along with a blend of undervalued income producing equities through dividends. Although bonds are usually great long term investment for income, right now in the current market it is way too risky to own ANY bonds because you just don't know which company is the next to default.

However, depreciating real estate values mean that many savvy long term investors can snatch up great real estate investment bargains. As stocks drop in sync with Real Estate, we now have the perfect opportunity to build an investment portfolio for "extreme" returns over the long term.

The Private Client Group has affiliations with various real estate agencies, lenders and foreclosure auction companies to provide our clients with all the resources you need to successfully locate, purchase and finance real estate assets at a deep discount to current market prices. NEVER PAY LISTING PRICE!

Now is the time to update your financial goals and to create a revised financial plan which accounts for "current" financial conditions. With great values everywhere in both real estate and stocks, it's time to put together an aggressive investment portfolio to benefit from these opportunities. When is the last time you updated your financial plan?

Get your loan approvals and documentation together today to make sure you're ready for the "Second Chance" to build wealth in America.

With real estate prices dropping, it is now easier to find income producing properties that will make you a bundle in long term capital gains as well!
