How to Take Your Baby's Room Out of the Norm

Who really wants to do yet another nursery that's exactly the same as every baby's room we've ever seen? You can't stand that stuff. Why would you subject your kid to it?
Here are a couple of nursery themes that you can use that break the mold of bunnies, farm animals, and Noah's Ark.
College team theme
Make your baby's nursery a place to show off your love for your favorite college team. When you're picking out colors for the walls, you'll be picking out paint colors that you know you can live with. You could also look for logo wallpaper, if you prefer that to painting. Frame the team jersey you were lucky enough to walk away with, or put up pictures and posters from your favorite games.
Looking for some cute kid stuff? Check out the college's bookstore. You'd be surprised at what they have, and there will probably be some really cute knickknacks to round out the room.
Also look for college team crib bedding online, so that you can carry the theme to the crib. Add in a throw blanket and a couple of college logo pillows, and voila! You've got a nursery themed around the OSU Cowboys or the LSU Tigers.
Bonus points if it's a team that your spouse HATES.

Do you love the outdoors? Are you or your spouse in the military? Then how about a camouflage theme for your new little bundle of joy?
With camouflage, it's pretty easy to take a color out of your chosen pattern to paint the walls, or to find solid pillows or throw blankets to complement the pattern. If you check online, you'll be able to find not only a camo print that you love, but matching curtains and valances to really round the room out.
