Got FTO Fat Gene? ....... Knock it by FIT Scheme
People with two copies of the FTO gene are almost 70% more likely to be obese than those with none.
Recently, research from the University of Maryland, published in the Archives of Internal Medicine, showed that the FTO gene has less effect on people who lead a physically active life.
Weight loss programs and fad diets usually focus on dietary changes alone, because it is more effective on the short run and creates greater loss of weight within the first few weeks, but the final result is usually the return of the body weight to its starting point. A successful weight loss program should be a lifestyle strategy; hence any factor that can add to its efficiency on the long-term should not be excluded.
Regular physical exercise is of utmost importance and it should be included in all weight loss programs. It helps losing calories, raising self-esteem due to increasing Dopamine levels in the brain, and increase self-confidence for the ability to achieve all goals including weight control, yet it needs several hours per week to sacrifice. This is why it is considered unpractical task for many people.
I advise all obese people, to follow my genuine practical idea of "FIT". FIT is the abbreviation of "Fidgeting, Intermittent & Transient", which is factor number 11 in my scientific Luqaimat diet plan.
1. By Intermittent I mean, frequent times spread allover the day,
2. By Transient I mean, few minutes each time, and
3. By Fidget I mean, moving around spontaneously allover the day in addition to occasional exercising.
Each of these exercises could be five times abdominal curls, push-ups, walking five minutes, or ascending one floor to be repeated several times daily at intervals.
It is known that sticking to extensive exercises is a burden for most people, so it is easier for them to perform a few physical movements at short intervals allover the day and yielding nearby results.
My patients achieved very encouraging results; "FIT" changed their whole life so that they are now more active allover the day and this also helps them in the meantime to curb appetite, and reduce their weight.
In order to increase their ability to perform "FIT" activity, I advise them to:
1. Sleep at least 7 hours each day:
Insufficient sleep makes people less energetic, so they will move less and fidget less, hence burn less calories.
2. Eat at least 7 Luqaimat meals each day:
Controlling food volumes in the form of Luqaimat meals goes hand-in-hand with "FIT". These frequent micro-meals give cues to frequent micro-exercise sessions and vice-versa. Both Luqaimat and "FIT" will lead to losing extra body weight.
3. Always sit straight on the chair:
The erect posture will lead to contraction of trunk muscles (i.e. both abdominal and back muscles). Contraction of these muscles will help increasing energy expenditure and in the meantime will compress the stomach leading to lesser hunger bangs. These muscular contractions maybe considered a form of "FIT" action.
Elhashemy's Broad Spectrum Luqaimat Diet Plan is a comprehensive lifestyle diet strategy that employs specific food types of micro-sized meals (Luqaimat in Arabic language) to induce different biological and psychological responses, with the purpose of obtaining ideal body weight and maintaining it for life.
