Five Reasons to Loudly QUESTION Polls That Say McCain and Obama are Neck to Neck Today

1) DANGER: posting false projection poll results today can be used to MASK stolen elections in November!

2) McCain clearly doesn't have a neck

3) Polling methods vary. The most common method tends to use 'likely voters' defined as voters who registered and voted 4 years ago, clearly excluding the groundswell of first time voters, etc that are an overwhelming sector Obama's base.

4) If 2 to 3 times as many Democrats voted in the primaries, how can the general election voters be neck to neck? What kind of math makes that add up? This is disturbing since consistently many more voters vote in the general election than the primary.

5) Traditional media such as TV has heavy MOTIVATION to make the election appear closer than it is: a closer ball game gets more viewers = more sponsorship dollars.

What can we do? Jot down the source of polls cavalierly quoted on the news, and go to thier site to determine the methods used, number of people actually polled, and what sector, such as geographic area, was used to represent the whole country. Contact the outlet that quotes the poll as well as the source of the poll with any questions to hold their feet to the fire.
