According to reports by Marine Corps. motorcycle accident lawyers, the Marines are stepping up their efforts to collect information about the motorcycles Marines own. This comes after an administrative message 455/08 according to Assistant Commandant General James Amos. This order commands officers and officers in charge to collect information on Marines that own motorcycles, their riding habits and their training; this is being done in an effort to build a Marine motorcycle riders profile.

This comes after the largest amount of motorcycle fatalities to U.S. Marines. They have never had it worst, and this profile will also list the number of motorcycle owners by type of bike whether it is a sports bike, along with age and gender.

This is all being electronically listed on the Naval Safety Centers website, the MarAdmin that is updating the information is a part of the effort to stop the motorcycle fatalities, along with safety courses.

According to reports from the Naval Safety Center, from July 1st through August 16th ten Marines have sustained fatal injuries in accidents. Nine of the Marines were riding motorcycles when they were fatally injured.
