California Restaurant Association Going Green

Del Williams
The California Restaurant Association is going green. The Expo, running in Los Angeles, is being hosted in one of the greenest convention centers in the country. But more importantly, the management of the show has taken the following steps to make the show green.

1. The CRA has moved their marketing information onto disk instead of paper. This is good because it keeps the trees, and it allows people to have all the CRA information in one place.

2. They have included a new green section at the expo to encourage more restaurants to go green.

3. Donating unused food from exhibitors is being donated to the Los Angeles Food Bank.

4. The inclusion of the Green Restaurant Association whose mission is to, "To create an ecologically sustainable restaurant industry."

With over 650 exhibitors at the expo this year, the impact of the show going green is huge.
