On Being Led and Becoming Your Own Psychic
Sometimes that is why we may consult a psychic—especially an accurate psychic.
And as frustrating as it may be to not have an exact roadmap of life, I am sure it is because it is meant to be that our power lies in being present in the moment rather than having a handy dandy exact guide of what is to happen next.
How Can We Follow Inner Guidance?
I am continually learning in my life that this process of being attentive to the moment, which I am calling "being led," is my moment of clarity, the magic instant, the point of power.
In the present moment I am not in my ego, that rampant thinking mind that gears itself to the past and the future.
Instead, as I choose to pay attention to the present moment, there is a pause in my thinking, a bit of space. And it is in that space that I receive inspiration.
Receiving Information Through Intuition
Actually, that is how I am successful at doing psychic readings. I have learned to make my mind more of a blank screen, an attunement to my inner voice that leads and guides me.
Personally, I receive information in these ways:
through images like a photo of a scene,
through little movies where I see a scene portrayed,
through physical feelings in my body that show me where someone else is hurting,
through sensing dense energy around me that another person is carrying so that I can help disburse that energy, and
through direct guidance when an angel will choose to speak directly to the person for whom I am giving a psychic reading.
How to Start Getting Inner Guidance and Information
I know that each of has intuition. Further, that intuition is from the part of us that is totally connected to Source itself. This is how we find the truth within us that comes from Spirit.
When we start attuning to our inner intuition, it usually comes to us through our dominant way of gathering information—visual, audio, kinesthetic (through our feelings), or a sense of knowing.
It is by paying attention to ourselves and through faith, trust and expectation that we allow impressions to come through in these various ways.
The next step in trusting what we are receiving is to actually follow our intuition, and in this way it becomes a stronger and a more dominant force in life.
Through practice, we learn to distinguish what impressions are from our intuition and what is our usual thinking process.
Quieting the Thinking Mind
Ever since I was a young girl, I have attempted in various ways to still my chatterbox mind and instead listen to the quiet. By now, the quiet mind is a familiar place for me.
And from this quiet mind I find that I can go about routine tasks with an effortless joy that contains none of the critical judgments of the ego.
Frankly, I am not yet situated permanently in the quiet mind state a hundred percent of the time.
Yet I know that each time I give over to attuning myself to getting direction from my Higher Self, it becomes easier for my ego mind to let go and give way to the wisdom of my higher mind—the One Who Knows.
And you can find your higher self and learn to be your own psychic, too. It's really easy. I'd love to help you. --Psychic Kate, in Sedona
