Fox news won´t let go of the John Edwards story

August 10th, 2008 the day that China has the people of the world´s attention via the Olympics. Fox news ran the story about former 2004 V.P. hopeful and former Senator John Edwards into the ground. The No Spin cable news channel spun this story to all it was worth. It was as if something that pertains to what is going on when it concerns the international front was not important to the American public as a whole. The Campaigns of Obama and MCcain floated into the back drop. Gas prices, Food prices and the economic turmoil that a vast majority of Americans are dealing with was not the topic of the day.
Another of many high profile politicians was caught doing what in reality appears to be human nature. As most of us remember Grandma and Grandpa being married for 50 plus years, Mom and Dad divorcing before even the slightest idea of what the world is all about we are seeing a Sociological change as it is no longer abnormal for males and females to what we call cheat. Our society has become one with the mindset that "we need it now and we need it fast".
Yet Fox News has chosen to drive Edwards career into oblivion. They just seem fascinated that a man under a multitude of stress factors lost his way. The Republican Party claims to be in line with what is perceived as ethical standards however their own past is in question. Have we forgotten Watergate, Eisenhower and Summersby, Republican Herbert Hoover heading the FBI while doing things that would be considered very risqué.
Have we forgotten that John Edwards looked out for the average guy, Yet, because he acted like an average guy the right wing will pound it into your heads that he is a totally bad person. I was taught that those who throw stones can´t hurt me. Those stones are full of the same venom that has allowed me to rebel on ethical standards.
I admit to surfing the channels. Yet I am amazed that I watch Fox News. I only do this to see what type of technique they are using to destroy Liberal thinking. Edwards was not going to be the choice for Vice President. However his infidelity was the top story of the day.
John Edwards would have been a great Attorney General. He has been cut down before hitting the starting gate. Watching Fox you might just think that they are openly backing Republican or Right Wing ideas.
Globalization, Big money, and we American´s are going backwards. We are more interested in who cheats than who brings new ideas to the table. Wake up America this so called No Spin network is the one spinning. I don´t care what goes on in the bedroom. I care about what ideas one has for my children´s future.
