John McCain's Tasteless Joke: Cindy McCain In A Topless Beauty Contest?

"Republican presidential hopeful John McCain said he was seeking blue-collar and heartland support during a visit to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally earlier this week, but some of his comments have generated more controversy than support.
"I was looking at the Sturgis schedule and noticed that you had a beauty pageant and so I encouraged Cindy to compete. I told her with a little luck she could be the only woman ever to serve as both the First Lady and Miss Buffalo Chip," McCain said."

If Barack Obama had attended a motorcycle rally he would have been condemned for pandering to a fringe constituency of outlaw bikers. But McCain hasn't received any negative press for visiting the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
It should come as no surprise that the Sturgis beauty pageant features topless and sometimes even bottomless contestants. Bottomless contestant: A beauty with no junk in her trunk?
McCain must really be desperate, he's pimping his gorgeous wife. Even if McCain was unaware of the nature of the Sturgis beauty pageant, he shouldn't joke about his wife entering a beauty contest. Cindy McCain is more than just a pretty face, she's a very successful business woman.
McCain may have won a few redneck votes with his crack about his wife, but he lost the respect of millions of Hillary fans who were considering voting for him.
