Goodwill Southern California Recognized for Fiscal Responsibility for Seventh Consecutive Year

Los Angeles – Charity Navigator issued Goodwill Southern California (GSC) its highest rating of four stars for the seventh consecutive year. Less than one percent of the charities Charity Navigator rates have received at least seven consecutive 4-star evaluations, indicating that Goodwill Southern California outperforms most charities in America in its efforts to operate in the most fiscally responsible way possible.

"This exceptional designation from Charity Navigator differentiates Goodwill Southern California from its peers and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust," states Charity Navigator´s Michael Smith, Interim President and Chief Operating Officer.

GSC has earned its four stars and the trust of the public as a first-class charity with its organizational abilities in management, outreach and fundraising efforts based on the most recent financial information available.

"Goodwill Southern California´s consecutive high ratings give Goodwill supporters peace of mind that their hard-earned dollars are wisely spent." said Doug Barr, Goodwill´s president and Chief Executive Officer. "Donations to Goodwill are used to employ and support people with disabilities and vocational disadvantages.
