Cancer is something very frightening that we all fear of one day getting. Most people think it is a horrible thing, which it is, but they don´t exactly know what it is. Cancer cells are in our body, and the immune system destorys them. Unfortunetly, our system can´t get them all. The ones that do get away, multipy at an uncontrollable rate. They grow at a speed where the body cannot deal with them, and a lump or a tumor is created.

There are many risk factors on how you can get cancer. The reason they are risky is because they increase the chance of getting more cancer cells. Growing older and family history , are unevitable risks of getting cancer, but staying healthy and eating right is a good way to try to avoid it. Tobbacco and alchohol are also a risk, which can be avoided with hard work and determination. Other risk factors aren sunlight, and ionizing radiation. Ionizing radiation are rays from x-rays and radioactive objects. A poor diet, not being active, and being overweight can also raise the likelihood of getting tumor cells.

The symptoms of having cancer vary on when they happen. Some symptoms are similar to you becoming sick, such as back pain, persistent cough, nonhealing sores, headaches, pain, and fever. You are often tired and experience persistent fatigue. You also have unitentional weightloss without diet or intental exercise. Many people undergo changes of the skin. It darkens, itches, and they have abnormal hairgrowth. There are over a hundred types of cancer so you will most likey not endure all these indicators.


The risk factors are a long list, but there are also ways to prevent cancer cells. Do not gain too much weight, make sure to eat healthy, and exercise. Make sure to get enough calcium, try to limit your alchohol consumption, and don´t/quit smoking. If you go through mentapause before age 54, you have a a reduced ability of getting breast cancer. Always keep up on your screening tests, which include of Pap, mammograms, and DREs.

There is many different types of treatment for cancer. Surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy are the most common ones. Surgery is where the cancer is removed entirely. The chemotherapy is using drugs that can destroy the cancer cells in your body. The radiation is high energy waves that kill the cells. Which one is choosed often depends of where the cancer is located.

There has been converse on the issue if cell phones are causing cancer. Doctor Ronald B. Herman made a memo to his 300,000 employees of the risk of cancer caused by cell phones. The electromagnetic fields emmitted from cells are a health risk. He says children should ony use them in emergencies, and to anyone who uses then to utilize it hand free.
