As a result, she began getting more single clients in her real-estate business. Soon after that, she began hosting singles parties and is now responsible for bringing together a number of happy couples.

Swan is a columnist for the online magazine Single for Now .She has also written a monthly column for singles in Life in Southern California, a magazine based in Orange County. She has been featured several times in The Arizona Republic and is the winner of an award from the Women´s National Book Association.

Swan immigrated to the United States from Italy in 1969. She is the divorced mother of two and grandmother of two.
