Solihull Osteopath John Williams DO

John is a GOsC registered osteopath and BOA member. He qualified in 2000 from the College of Osteopaths in London and went on to do post graduate study in cranial osteopathy gaining valuable insight into treating babies and infants. He has successfully treated many babies suffering from a variety of conditions

An experienced sports injury specialist, John is now registered with the HPC as a physiotherapist. Working with top athletes and professional footballers he has developed a "fast recovery reputation" which has resulted in many personal recommendations. He is now registered as one of the UK athletics physiotherapists and provides injury cover at their national athletic events.

John spent time as Tamworth FC first team physiotherapist and worked at the Belfry Hotel and Golf Club treating the golf professionals. He is still responsible for looking after the dancers and models at the Birmingham Clothes Show and is a member of their back stage team.


Sport and fitness have played a major part in his life having been a keen runner, played soccer and taught karate.

Founder of the successful Atlas Pain Relief Centre in Tamworth, John has opened a second clinic, Atlas Sports Injury Clinic at the Robin Hood Island, Hall Green, Birmingham providing a range of back pain and sports injury treatments.

Two years spent lecturing for elite market leader Premier Training and Development gave John the experience to teach personal trainers about physical fitness, special populations exercise and sports injuries.

John is an experienced lecturer on sports injuries and taught on a BSc Sports Therapy Degree programme in Birmingham. He set up and headed the Advanced Sports Therapy Diploma at Solihull College and lectured to physiotherapists from Solihull and Heartlands Hospitals on the subject of low back pain and the sacro-iliac joint.

John provides consultancy on a major sports injury website and is a full member of "Backcare" the charity for healthy backs. Voluntary work involves providing lectures to the local diabetic society and local weight loss and fitness initiatives to raise money for the Birmingham Childrens Hospital.

John sponsors a local under 9s football team, 2 young elite athletes and Bejing bound Birmingham Boxer Frankie Gavin.
