The Fear in Mighty Righty Americans is soiling Foreign Relationships.
There is a Blog that you moderate Americans need to rally to. You need to mend fences with the British public. Most Brits will tease but have infinity with Americans. That is likely to be damaged by the fact that you moderates and you Democrats are NOT represented on Sun Online. Sun Online is a British Tabloid and a gutsy one with many topics. Camped on that site are about six or eight right wing radicals claiming to be a cross section of American views. You dare not post any view that questions any Bush issue or Republican issue. What happens is that the ´James Gang´ as I call them circles the wagons and batter and abuse anyone with a different point of view? I have actually had US posters threaten to come to Jacksonville and use me as target practice. "Like me and my pals do with the Mexicans" he goes on to say. He actually traveled up past Jax on his way to Canada supposedly. There is also a Texan who has threatened that Florida ´is not that far away´. He goes by Maddog63 on Sun Online. He brags about ´guns´.
The trouble with the ones supposedly representing your great nation is that the Brits tend to tar with the same brush. The start of the issues was when a cop went on line and stated a thread. "Europe America´s next enemy". You can imagine how well that went down on a Brit forum? Then other Americans or ´wannabee´ Americans as a half French Canadian in Florida comes on and denigrates all Europeans for a great number of reasons. Her ID is ´globalgypsy1´ or ´auntieburka´ to confuse people. One of the weird things there is that many American posters talk as though it is all-real. They talk of ´doing the rounds´ as if on point. They talk of ´having your back´ to other Americans. There is a feature where you can see who has looked at your ´profile´ recently and ´AustinBB´ will announce that I have been looking on her profile and all must alight to push me off. Others from the USA will suggest a conspiracy to invade her email. They get very violent and abusive and get banned frequently and have multi ID´s so that they can continue to harass and harangue to their hearts content.
One of the frequent bones of contention is the racial abuse of Muslims or those suspected of being Muslims by the Americans. Anyone rejecting the hateful doctrine aimed at British or other Muslims is automatically put into a category. Americans on the forum seem not to understand that we Brits are not scared of our Muslim population. They also detest the amount of freedom to protest we give them. Just because they sometimes write hateful things on pieces of cardboard in reaction to stuff like Haditha and Danish Cartoons and Abu Ghraib does not make us think they should all be rounded up. Stick and stones and all that and in point of fact we have done far worse in ´actual fact´ than just chant and threaten. We have allowed the bias to Israel to lead to a despicable life in Palestine. We strive to control oil for greed and opulence. We occupy two Arab nations and have bases in several more. We ´by association´ have worried the world with dropped standards and we think less like Americans than ever before. If anyone on the Sun threads should be opposed to right wing views and give vent to them the word goes out as several of the ´James Gang´ are even email ´buddies´. They get told the links to the threads and they gang up on anyone who disagrees with ´occupation´ ´Bush´ ´rendition´ ´Guantanamo´ ´torture´ ´Haditha´ ´the surge´ ´Obama´ or any of the cloned fifty reasons for being a right wing republican. They have openly conspired and threatened to have me deported for my opposing views. They collude and exchange info in their efforts.
Sheraz, the ID of a Scottish born Muslim has had horrendous abuse from the US posters. He was asked if his young son was getting suicide bomb training. Anyone coming to the aid of this man is frequently labeled Muslim also and is open to a tirade of abuse. He has retaliated and he might have been banned. Many of the Americans constantly are banned and have other multi ID´s in order to keep a contribution going. They will even back up their other ID on threads just to strengthen their cause. It is one big conspiracy.
In Britain the Muslim community do NOT have a history of violence and most would see it that the July London bombings were a ´one off´ brought about by misdeeds of the allies as well. The American contingent has a problem with that. They don´t see enough hatred for their liking and seem to try and stir up that Muslims are ´all alike´. They constantly try to undermine the goodwill between British and Muslim peoples. Some Brits think that they are a paid conspiracy to control and divide and that may well be.
Americans seem to have the mantra that to confess or to criticize ones own is tantamount to treason. Brits were very open about not agreeing with Blair and were able to have some control over his demise. Brits are not much in favor with American policy any more than the rest of the world is right now. I am sure that most of the world waits for November more than any event has been a world issue ever before. I wonder why it is that the American crowd wishes to congregate on a British Tabloid forum and why you never hear from any of the democratic side or from black America. I wish that more of you moderate Americans would make it a point to out vote the ones that do so much damage to the cross section of views that exist and would be so welcomed by the British public. I am the lone cause to alert the Brits not to get their interpretation of Americans from the vile and abusive nature of the ´James Gang´ group of right wing radical who have gripped the Sun threads and despoiled the good name of America.

Sorry, Overseas, I have to totally disagree with that, especially your last sentence. For me, political and ideological philosophies form the very basis of who we are as people. Would I pick up with a "terrorist" because he happens to be an engaging, funny guy? Why would I want someone who doesn't share my values? There are enough factors out there that can destroy a relationship, why add to that by choosing someone who is so diametrically opposed to your beliefs?
When I look for someone, I look for someone who I can share my thoughts and expectations, and not someone who would provide a constant battle. No, I would never seek to change anyone's mind, that isn't for me to do. A person has to arrive at their own path in life, so I would choose first, a person who embraces rightwing philosophies. There are enough of them out there who I already share like opinions with I don't need to look further than that.
OMGosh, I am playing nice. There is no anger here, there is only honest expression of thoughts that I have. I have tried to play peacemaker on a number of occasions between disparate groups, and try to find common ground by which we could all get along. I have tried to tease people out of their hate and anger, but it never works. So honesty is all that I have left.
I think you Europeans have always believed that no matter how much hate and insults that you level at Americans, that they will always love you. I am here to tell you that isn't so, and don't count on it.

I think you Europeans have always believed that no matter how much hate and insults that you level at Americans, that they will always love you. I am here to tell you that isn't so, and don't count on it.
