What Can Organic Plant Tea Do For Your Garden?

It's not easy choosing the right nutrients and supplements for your hydroponics system. There are a lot of options, and you always want to ensure you are getting the best yield for the money you spend. But no matter what supplements or fertilizers you choose, you should make sure to include a good organic plant tea. Organic plant tea might very well make the difference between being disappointed at harvested time and exceeding your own best hopes. Here are just a few things that a good organic plant tea can do for you hydroponic system.

Improve Yield - Many hydroponics growers avoid using organic materials because they fear that it will force them to sacrifice yield. While it is generally true that strictly organic gardens provide fewer yields than those who take advantage of chemical solutions, it is entirely possible to use mostly organic materials while still enjoying comparable yields. The trick is to take advantage of completely natural ways to stimulate rapid growth. Most organic plant teas come with guano and seaweed extract, two completely organic supplements that have been proven to improve yield.

Seaweed is notable for being able to survive and thrive even in harsh conditions. Itīs able to do this because it contains a lot of hormones that can make it grow faster and propagate easier than most any other plant. Hydroponics growers can take advantage of these hormones by adding an organic plant tea that contains kelp extract to their hydroponics system. Using seaweed as a fertilizer has shown to develop impressive plants.

Bat Guano is also a potent fertilizer. Guano that comes from insect eating plants is generally used to stimulate growth in the vegetative stage, while guano that comes from fruit eating plants can help flowering and fruit and vegetable development.

Encourage Beneficial Bacteria - Bacteria in you hydroponic system can either be your best friend or your worst enemy. If you want them to be a real help, you have to make sure you are supplying them the best possible environment to duplicate. The reason that these bacteria can be found naturally in soil environments is because it is typically full of organic material. So when you add a quality organic plant tea to your hydroponic system, you give these bacteria plenty of resources to grow in population. These bacteria can help convert Nitrogen into forms that are actually useful to your plants, help fight off disease, and generally improve overall nutrient uptake.

Create More Nutritious Fruits and Vegetables - Recent scientific studies suggest that using organic materials can actually improve the nutritional value of the plants and vegetables you grow. It will increase the density of "dry material" in your produce. It will also encourage the production of antioxidants which have numerous health benefits to your immune system.

Reduce Instances of Over Fertilization - Though nothing can help you if your nutrient solution isn't carefully balanced, using an organic plant tea can help limit damage if you accidentally overfeed your plants as well. Nutrients derived from chemical sources are absorbed into the roots extremely quickly, which can help in certain instances, but can also harm plants. Organic material are absorbed at a much more moderate rate, which decreases the instances of harming your plants with too many nutrients.

Hello. My name is Michael Straumietis. I am the co-founder of Advanced Nutrients, an international marketer and manufacturer of agricultural, home & garden, hydroponics plant nutrients and soil less fertilizers. With an inherent green thumb, I began studying and practicing gardening & hydroponics at a very early age. In university, I explored the fundamental processes of plant life at the molecular level. After years of perfecting my knowledge and skills, I formed Advanced Nutrients to share my expertise in hydroponics, plant nutrition and soil science. In my spare time, I love to work in my garden and yard and I also have a small greenhouse where I experiment with new formulas and techniques. I also publish my knowledge in short original papers with a focus on accelerating growth, increasing yield, and improving soil-plant interaction. If you would like my free newsletter, sign up now. I look forward to sharing my knowledge with you here at American Chronicle and making new, lifelong friends. Good luck!
