Spring Break 2006: Have Fun, But Be Careful Out There
One of those things being how long a stretch attending school can be. From kindergarten all the way up to the high school level, it can seem like quite a ride.
No wonder by the time some students reach their senior year at high school they might tend to feel a bit burned out with all that school work.
Nevertheless, burned out or not one gathers the extra energy required to finish what was started years ago on that first day into kindergarten class. Before embarking on that trip into another Spring Break though, one might wonder how others might be spending their time.
Studious persons who are particular about their home work assignments might use the time to start working on that research paper that is due in around two weeks.
For there are some individuals who do not like to wait until the last minute to complete such projects. Then there are others who might have other plans.
Quite a few fun loving students might take to the nearest beach for some much needed time away from the books.
As I write this, most of those resorts are already packed with spring breakers who are boozing it up responsibly (one should hope) swimming, water skiiing, surfing, tanning or just enjoying the time with their friends and or classmates and family members.
Others who are employed might be using the time to put in a few extra hours at the workplace, especially those who need the financial assistance for college in the near future.
But no matter how one has decided to spend his or her Spring Break time, he or she has been warned by teachers, parents/guardians to be careful out there. With the recent disappearance of Natalee Holloway and kidnapping of Jill Carroll, it seems as if one can never be careful enough.
So which ever way you have decided to spend your Spring Break, whether you are working on that project that’s due in a couple of weeks, using the time to work longer hours, or if you are at some beach resort, enjoy yourself by all means, but also be careful out there.
For when Spring Break is over, everyone wants you back safely and in one piece in your respective class rooms.
