Every Yin Has a Yang

Ken Hughes
Or for those unfamiliar with the term [ying and yang], every negative has a positive effect on all it encompass That positive isn't always something good. Many things the so called experts want to change are in fact better for the enviroment and the publics benefit than what replaces them. It's seems there are those out in their perfect world who just can't stand the status-que to have five seconds of peace. These nay-sayers attack every new proposal and invention with the question, what will the effects be in 100 years. They have no idea but their not willing to wait for the answers before they start a campaigns banning things before they've been fully researched. These so called experts may have several PhD's attached to heir names, that doesn't mean they're qualified as experts in the field whatever that field is. English Literature isn't the same as Biology or Nuclear Physics

It's not the lies these supposedly pro-advocates of the environment tell, it's the lies the public believes that causes the harm. Several examples I can think of are Polar Bears becoming extinct when the fact is their numbers are on the increase. Penguins are starving and dieing by drowning in the Antarctic. Penguins can live out at sea for several months at a time without drowning. These are things the environmentalists are shoving into our children's minds. The latest is the claim the Arctic Ice Cap will totally melt away this summer. That's a preposterous claim. It's another of those claims the nay-sayers try to sell the public. The polar ice cap is so massive it would take months of boiling water to make a dent melting it. That isn't going to happen any time soon and when if ever it does humans will have diapered from the earth long before it happens.

The biggest lie and the one that's doing the most harm is the myth of global warming. Green is an advertisement fantasy. The myth of global warming is causing a great deal of harm to the worlds economies as well as the environment, The worlds energy sources. and food supplies can't be totally disrupted on the fear of [maybe, someday.] Man was created along with the flowers, the birds fish and animals and all the other creations. Like all other creations everything has been proportionalized to accommodate all the species on earth, animal, vegetable and mineral. Man shouldn't try substituting his knowledge for that of the Creator.

There are simply too many claims being made that fly in the face of physical plausibilities.

Man's survived thousands, perhaps millions of years by utilizing earths gifts. Now a few so called experts come along and tell us we've gotten it all wrong all those years. Never mind the facts staring us in the face, man is now expected to forget history and follow them like they were a Pide Piper leading us out of our darkness. Anyone who questions environmental predictions for the future of mankind is treated akin to a baby killer or at least a child molester in prisons. We can blame much of the hysteria on politicians who use fear to advance their causes and the Media who use fear to sell news made up of pure speculation to overwhelm a gullible public.

This is not to say the environmental movement hasn't had its successes. Their constant pressure was enough to get industry off their collective bottom lines and start investing in new technologies. It gave congress new fears to peruse and it woke the public up to that fact they weren't showing the proper respect for earth. The problem it causes are like giant balls rolling down hill as they grow in size and influence they begin to consume the very things they were intended to protect.

In the past 50 years the United States has led the world in new environmental technologies. The United States has moved further faster than any nation on earth. It has also been willing to share these new technologies without passing on research and development costs. Since the industrial revolution America has been the beacon guiding the rest of the world in new technologies and innovations. Pound for pound Americans are the most liberated people on earth, this is what motivates them to do such outstanding things. All the cultural restriction of the old world have been lifted and as Americans we are allowed to rise to the level of our own capabilities.

The American people are tolerant to a fault, they elect men and women to tend to the business of the nation. Only when these men and women step over the line mandating rules that take food from our tables and place our children in jeopardy do we rise up in protest.

A recent poll rates congresses approval at only 9%. That's the lowest level in the history of polling, no president not even Carter or Nixon has ever rated that low. Now the question is will congressional leaders recognize the trouble they're in? If not the November elections may make the point for them.

There are a number of very essential unofficial participants in a Republic style government. The president, the congress, the courts, the bureaucracy, the lobbyists, the protesters, the media and last but by no means least come the public / the voters. We are all part of this greatest of nations, because we are allowed to think freely we seldom agree but we always preserver.

I believe in a Divine Creator, don't ask me what he / she / it looks like or what shape it comes in. I know it's their and I know America is Gods chosen land he stocked with the best and brightest from around the world. I know he / she/ it is watching and won't disappoint us.
