San Antonio Man On A Leash

Judy Ramsook
Unless an animal that has not been domesticated by man is about to cause me serious bodily injury or death, I am all for being kind to animals/pets. But when a San Antonio young man and Animal Advocate, Adam Moran, decided to chain himself to a tree in his yard, people began to take notice.

Due to the hot summer temperatures, Mr. Moran is totally against leaving one´s pet or dog chained to a leash outside the home or in the yard for an extended period of time.

So this July 4th weekend, he, Mr. Moran decided to chain himself to a tree in his yard for 12 hours a day to show passers by and onlookers how cruel it can be to treat an animal in this way.

It has been reported that this kind of action has caused most pet owners to be more kind to their pets under such harsh weather conditions. And I do not have a problem with that.

But do some of these over sensitive types realize that if no one was around to care for these animals, harsh weather conditions or not, that such animals would find a way to fend for themselves and or survive?

Provided, of course, that the dog/pet is not tied to a tree or pole.
