Why Believe?
Reports of unidentified aerial phenomena come from a wide variety of trustworthy individuals, people respected by society. Police officers, soldiers, scientists, pilots, doctors, lawyers, physicists, farmers, truck drivers, home makers, accountants, even Presidents of the United States. Former President Ronald Reagan referred to Unidentified Flying Objects or alien entities no less than four times in public speeches. In a speech to the United Nations on September 21, 1987, President Reagan stated, "I occasionally think, how quickly our differences worldwide would vanish if we were facing an alien threat from outside this world. And yet, I ask is not an alien force ALREADY among us?" Apollo 14 astronaut and U.S. Navy Captain Edgar D. Mitchell stated "We all know that UFOs are real. All we need to ask is where do they come from". Former CIA Director Rear Admiral Roscoe Hillenkoetter stated in the 1960´s, "Behind the scenes, high-ranking Air Force officers are soberly concerned about UFO´s." Most of these are everyday, salt of the earth, honest and brave people that receive a lot of trust from their peers and the public in general. Others are people in high levels of power in society. Testimony from such as these have sentenced accused individuals to lengthy prison sentences and sometimes death, but skeptics would have you believe that, in this case, they are being less than truthful. Rarely do phenomena occur so rampantly and still be denied. Evidence that would lead to a conviction in any American court of law stands unheeded. Either these witnesses are reliable, or they are not. You cannot have it both ways based on the story being told and whether you want to believe.
So we have responsible witnesses. These witnesses state they have observed unusual aerial phenomena, commonly referred to as UFO´s, but what are they seeing? Reports vary from a combination of lights and structures. When lights are observed, they exhibit colors that tend to vary depending on the type of movement being observed, from a reddish color when the object is stationary to a brighter color when the object starts moving.
Structures are also observed, from triangular shapes to round or elliptical, to rectangular. Some objects are described as "saucers", resembling two dishes placed together, sometimes with a clear dome on top. Skeptics would say that the disparity in shape description proves that the sightings are imaginary; either hallucinated or hoaxed. But this is not the case. For example, helicopters and airliners both are manmade and have similarities, just as UFO´s have similarities, but there are obvious physical differences. Helicopters are shaped differently from airplanes, both specific to a functional design purpose. The suggestion here is that each UFO shape is specific to its purpose, but what are these purposes?
So we have these same responsible witnesses stating they have observed light anomalies or structures of unknown origin flying in our skies. We have noted that there are basic shapes across the range of descriptions. From where, though, are the complaints of physical and psychological injuries derived? Among witness statements are reports of UFO´s that have landed. Individuals bearing unique physical descriptions are seen many times in the vicinity of these landed UFO´s, usually performing such seemingly mundane tasks as taking apparent soil and plant samples or performing repairs on their craft. These strange persons have the same limited range of description that UFO´s in general have. The most common description is that of a person or entity standing four to five feet tall, slim build, with a head slightly larger in proportion to its body, wearing an apparent uniform, sometimes with an emblem prominently displayed. It sounds now like we have stepped off the deep end of reality, huh? Bear in mind, though, that these descriptions come from the very same reliable witnesses noted earlier. As stated previously, either we can trust these witnesses, or not.
The sight of these aerial phenomena and entities has a decidedly negative effect on witnesses. Subjects have a difficult time rationalizing what they have seen. The realization that these entities could be otherworldly literally terrifies people. It calls into question so many beliefs about our reality that it is decidedly unsettling and humans do not typically favor the unknown. Imagine how the Inca reacted to the arrival of the Spanish Conquistadors, or tribesmen isolated in the Amazon respond upon the initial meeting with outsiders who look and act so differently! Imagine the tribulation a Native American man from the 1400´s would experience if he saw a modern white man drive up in an SUV, take out a cell phone and make a call!
Unfortunately, this is not all that is being reported. Abductions by these entities involve painful medical procedures performed without anesthesia. This pain, combined with the pain associated with the degradation and humiliation of being manipulated against their will, of being deprived of basic freedom of movement, has an incredible effect! These effects manifest in life-altering ways: an inability to sleep, nightmares of being trapped or captured, severe panic attacks, substance abuse, loss of family through divorce, and sometimes suicide.
Artifacts are sometimes found within the abductees´ body, the purpose of which is unknown, but speculation abounds. Some artifacts removed by California podiatric physician and surgeon Dr. Roger K. Leir, and documented in his book "The Aliens and The Scalpel", emit electromagnetic fields and have been found attached to nerve endings. The fields terminate upon dissection from the victim´s body. Are these artifacts utilizing the human body´s nervous system as a power source? Are they in communication with something or someone? Are they tracking or monitoring devices? These artifacts strangely do not activate the body´s natural defense system, which Dr. Leir notes is most uncommon. Some might say this is a result of intervention from this or another country´s government for reasons unknown, but it must be noted that one particular artifact removed by Dr. Leir in 2000 had been in its host body for over 46 years! The existence of this technology by any nation on Earth is questionable now, and definitely was not in existence in 1934!
In sum, we have reliable witnesses describing the sighting of unidentified aerial phenomena, entities associated with these craft, abductions, and painful medical procedures. Bear in mind again that we cannot have an untruthful, but reliable witness. Either the witness is intrinsically truthful or they are not. What happens if this witness is you and when you attempt to seek assistance, no one will even listen to you and believe what you say? This is what is happening today.
So, why believe? There is a lot that occurs in life that is not seen, but is believed anyway. The reality of wind is not seen, but its affects are. We feel the rush of air; we see the trees and grass bending to its pressure. In some more extreme cases, we can see the damage to houses and other manmade structures. We have so much evidence to substantiate the existence of wind. Although circumstantial, just as much evidence exists to substantiate the reality of UFO´s. Even though a lot of us have never seen them, others have and testify in a consistent fashion to their existence. There are uniform reports of their activities and appearance, as well as the damage being done. The preponderance of the circumstantial evidence is enough to substantiate their existence, and is sufficient reason to believe that something is happening that needs to be investigated, explored, and defined.
The sun will come up tomorrow, even though that is yet to happen. We know it because it has happened consistently in the past. It has become an axiom of our reality. The continuance of UFO visits and activities is also assured!
