Healthy Tips for Gaining Weight

Chaotic and deskbound lifestyle leads to a rise in the stress level and various health disorders. Lack of sleep, poor nutrition, exposure to pollutants, lack of exercise and time constraints are a part of today´s modern living. There is an increase in lifestyle related diseases such as skin disorders, heart problems, diabetes, blood pressure, insomnia, obesity, etc. Being underweight is another such problem which may be hereditary or do to one of the above mentioned reasons. In this article, we will focus on the problem of people suffering form lack of confidence due to a thin body.

A person is regarded underweight if he weighs 10 % to 20 %, below the ideal weight. Those who are taking inadequate calories in diet are prone to many more health problems, other than being underweight. Bad eating habits can also add to your problem of being underweight. Skipping meals, doing excessive or inadequate physical activity are some of such factors. Other cause may be the presence of intestinal worms, lack of adequate sleep, or diabetes.

Treatment-

Banana milk shake is said to be a fast way of gaining weight.

Eating banana three times a day, followed by curd or milk is also said to help in weight gain.

Eat musk melon thrice a day, for a month.

Fruit diet works well when combined with milk. Fruits nourish body with sugar and milk is a good source of proteins.

Take a glass of hot milk and have it with a tablespoon of honey. It is a reputed home remedy to gain weight.

Boil almonds, date palm and anjeer in milk and drink it. It is a well known home remedy known to treat those who are underweight.



Prepare mango shake (with milk) and consume it everyday for 30 days. You can also eat ripe mangoes followed by a glass of milk.

Raisins are an excellent remedy for gaining weight. Eat 30 g per day for 30 days.

Soak 3-4 dry figs overnight and consume twice a day. It will certainly help those who are underweight.

Mix equal amounts of pomegranate seed powder, white muesli powder and Indian ginseng root powder. Take it with water or milk, thrice a day for 2 months. This formulation helps in weight gain and tones up the body as well.

Remember-

Eat frequent small meals. Include calorie rich food in your diet. Eat a diet rich in vitamin D, B6, calcium and magnesium. Milk, cod-liver oil and vitamin D. To boost up body with calcium, include milk and yoghurt in your diet chart. Vitamin B6 can be obtained from leafy vegetables such as spinach, raddish, turnip. Beet tops fulfill the needs of magnesium in the body. Cut on refined foods such as products containing white flour and sugar. The best way to fight as well as prevent any kind of health related problem is to build up physical resistance against diseases. Practice yogasana such as, Sarvangasana, Halaasana and Matsyaasana. These asana are recommended for weight gain. You will certainly achieve your aim through proper nutrition, physical exercise and positive thinking. Leave worries and hurries aside.
