Roger Waters, the former member of the rock band Pink Floyd, will be temporarily reuniting with the band for an upcoming special "Live 8" concert in London. Also performing at the special "anti-poverty" concert are prominent stars such as Elton John and the much admired, former Beatles member Paul McCartney.

Roger Waters, who was the bass guitarist and lyricist for Pink Floyd, departed from the group in the 1980's. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996.

Pink Floyd has reportedly sold more than 100 million albums, since they were established in the 1960's. Included in their discography are albums such as: “Dark Side of the Moon," "Wish You Were Here," "The Wall," and "Animals."

A book about the band entitled, "Inside Out: A Personal History Of Pink Floyd," written by Nick Mason, was published in 2004.
