President of Republican Nepal: Better To Be Non-political Figure Under Neutrality

Dr Surendra Bhakta Pradhanang
Nepal is a small country having the Himalayan scene and beauty. The magnificent natural attraction of the landscape of Nepal is wonderfully endowed. It attracts the international tourists and intellectuals.

Nepal is a very rich land served by the good people but governed by the poor and ill- minded political leaders. The politicians of Nepal undesirably made country poor listed at the least developed countries of the world.

The corrupted politicians by brand are still in the government driving the country in the bad direction. The king and kingship has gone, but dirty politics in political party is coming up with deadlock and political power exercise.

The political crisis is over in Nepal. Even then, good politics in Nepal is not functioning rightly. The people´s mandate set by election could not have properly implicated. The new government is not being formed in lieu of the people´s fresh mandate and demand.

The present scenario and conflict in nomination of president of Federal Democratic Republic Nepal among the major political parties are on-going and unending within the reach of new political game. The political climate of Nepal even after the abolition of 240 years aged monarchy is at the circumference of political barrier landed at the power sharing politics.

In fact, the major political parties should not quarrel and tense for presidential power. Neutrality in politics is sometimes necessary. The neutral person who can logically and rightly be a first president of the Republican Nepal. The search for neutral personality is the basic need for today´s politics in Nepal. Now is the right time to select the terms, `neutrality´.

Every one has to necessarily think and agree that non-political Nepali national having good academic career or social services is better to be the president this moment. The country is neither of only politicians nor political party. It is the country of all people - who are included in terms of non-political bodies –such as common civilians, academicians, intellectuals, social servicemen and so on.

In people´s democracy, the general people must be respected. The politicians must not see the country and countrymen from the eyes of politics alone. The people who are common civilians have more importance valued to the national development and national unity.

Our new Republican government needs to have vision of good thought for national development people ask and demand.

The great division in the country is not by race or by income. It is in fact by those who think of corrupted plan and selfish desire by politics. It is our common experience that every one thinks he or she is better than every one else. A candidate, who is socially bad and nationally corrupted, must not give him personal vote in the election.

We wholeheartedly agree that the national infrastructure is crumbling, national workforce is undereducated, development project is underfinanced and social and scientific research is underperformed. We do not know for sure who lead this country at the right direction.Truely; our infrastructure is near the fracturing point. By infrastructure, it means not only economic and political development, but also our intellectual infrastructure.

The largest party has to logically form the government as the international democratic norms and values established. The front line political party and leader must instantly show work and service to the people and country. Too much talking is not good. Despite, working honestly is waiting for.

Right now, every political party and its sister or brother organization must be fully disciplined and come to follow the mutual respect, code of conduct , people´s democracy and peace and security in the country as a whole.

Rightly, we urge to think to search a non-political figure under neutrality for president in the politics of Nepal and national development along with the formation of new government.
