"Peeping" Denver Alien video – Yet another hoax?

Ian Brockwell
Although I have never seen a UFO or an Alien, I am a firm believer that they do exist. However, my desire for proof has never got in the way of looking at "evidence" in an objective manner.

Like many others, I was interested in the news of a video that claims to provide "conclusive proof that Earth was being visited by extraterrestrials", a video that has the support of Jeff Peckman, who is also hoping that this will encourage others to take UFO and Alien reports more seriously.

Unfortunately, I fear that this latest "evidence" will have exactly the opposite effect and produce even more skepticism (and an increase in the usual tin foil hat jokes). Whilst viewing restrictions have been placed on the video, it would seem that the image presented is less than clear and resembles the usual "fuzzy" or "blur" pictures we are used to. Hardly conclusive I think.

If we examine the source of this video, we will find that this has been taken by a man (Stan Romanek) who is not new to alien sightings and contact. In the past he claims to have been abducted and has had visions of "equations", and whilst these could have been given to him from aliens, it is also possible he could have got them from more earthly sources. It is uncertain why aliens should single out Stan for so much attention (more than 100 encounters apparently), or why he didn´t think of using curtains on his window to stop potential peeping Toms.

I understand from reports that the "peeping" alien at the window "blinks" while looking inside Stan´s home. Is it a coincidence that on his site (http://www.stanromanek.com) he also happens to have a gif image of an alien doing exactly that? Strangely enough, an almost identical "alien" appears on the cover of my book (but doesn´t blink, and the book is a novel which does not offer "proof" of alien existence!)

It is also odd that he plans to create a "feature film" about his experiences, and this would be an excellent way of promoting it, wouldn´t it? The video was inspected by a person in the film business (presumably a friend of Jeff Peckman?) who said it didn´t appear to be fake, and it will be interesting to see if this film "expert" has any involvement with Romanek´s film.

Sadly, the "conclusive proof" has a very strong "commercial" taste to it, and I´m always suspicious of those who try to profit from such revealing evidence (quoting fact not fiction). Those who have a genuine interest in this subject are usually more than willing to share discoveries of this magnitude for free and much more quickly. But Stan Romanek has sat on this video for around 5 years and only now chooses to talk about it? In the meantime, the Press are given a few samples (like a trailer) and we must wait for the film to appear!

The paying customers will get an opportunity soon to decide whether this is genuine or not, but personally I think it is a hoax. But whatever the outcome, someone is going to make a profit, so I guess it doesn´t matter to them what people think. It´s a pity that some feel it necessary to "cash in" on people´s real interest on this subject, claiming that they have genuine proof of alien life, when in reality the video will provide nothing of the sort.

My advice to Stan Romanek, if he really wants people to take his experiences seriously, is to forget about the dollars and share this "proof" for free. However, I don´t see that happening and when some real "experts" get to see the video, and expose the potential flaws (and you can be sure they will), the rest of us will be faced with an even more difficult task of getting people to take this subject seriously. So when (not if) we do eventually receive conclusive proof, who on earth is going to believe it? Thanks Stan!
