Martha Stewart And Donald Trump In An Epic War Of Words

Robert Paul Reyes
Donald Trump is a chest-thumping mogul, figuratively perched on top of the Trump Tower, swatting at all the wannabe entrepreneurs who yearn to displace him as the premier celebrity tycoon.

The streets of New York are littered with the pin-striped carcasses of those who dared to take on The Donald.

In an epic clash of the titans, Donald Trump and Martha Stewart are engaged in a life and death struggle - waged in the media of course.

The Domestic Diva launched the first volley when she told "Newsweek" her version of "The Apprentice bombed, in part, because Trump's edition was broadcast concurrently, thereby diluting interest.

The filthy rich are unlike the rest of us, they don't know the meaning of "personal responsibility", mistakes are always blamed on underlings, competitors or forces of nature.

Stewart failed to take responsibility for her malfeasance that landed her in a Club Med prison, and she is failing to take responsibility for the failure of her show.

Stewart's show bombed not because there was too much Apprentice, but because there was too much Stewart. Way too much Stewart, she should have done the honorable thing and taken a vacation from the media after her stint in the Big House.

Stewart said there was some talk of "firing" Trump on the air during her premiere. The mock termination would symbolize a changing of the Apprentice guard.

"Well, that had been proposed," Stewart told "Newsweek", but Donald really wanted to stay on."

The Donald immediately went on a rampage that would have impressed King Kong. He blasted Stewart in an open letter, in which he advised her to take responsibility for her failings. He rated her TV performance as "terrible." Trump concluded with this lethal blow: "Essentially, you made this firing up just as you made up your sell order of ImClone."

Ouch!

Next week The Donald returns to the air with a new season of his hugely successful "The Apprentice".

Martha Stewart should lick her wounds, admit defeat and take out her frustration on her underlings -- like she always does.
