Terrorism, Suicide Bombers
This creates a breeding ground for terror networks, fanatic incitement, and suicide bombers. It?s a fact that almost everybody in the region blames this situation on the United States, on Israel, on Western Society, on Judaism or Christianity, on anyone and anything, except their selves. There are millions of decent, honest, good people who are devout Moslems and there are extremist Militants in large numbers.
The vast silent majority of Moslems are not part of the terror or incitement, but they also don?t stand up against it. They become accomplices, by tacit approval, and this also applies to their political leaders.
On Wednesday 22nd, 2006, per CNN, two Suicide car bombers tried to blow up the Abqaiq Oil processing plant in Dammam, Saudia Arabia. Alert guards fired at the approaching unauthorized entries, detonating the vehicles and occupants.
Suicide bombings are nothing new but they are a psychological weapon which creates headlines and television coverage in uncensored detail.
Few defensive or preventive measures can succeed against a truly determined suicide murderer other then " killing them? before they strike, if possible.
A suicide bomber is a vicious weapon of cruel, inhuman, cynical, well funded terrorists, with no regard for human life, including their own.
The only way to fight this weapon is similar to the manner of fighting organized crime.
In the case of organized crime, it?s critical that police forces on the offensive are united to dismantle the top leaders of the crime syndicate. You can?t eliminate organized crime by arresting the small time drug dealer . You go after the heads of the organization. If part of the public supports it, others tolerate it, and politicians ignore the problems, organized crime will thrive and so will terrorism.
In order to win it?s necessary to stop the financial resources of the terrorist cadres, organizations.
Many terrorists are supported, financed by Saudi Arabia, and also by donations from certain Moslem communities in the United States and Europe.
In a Speech by Crown Prince Abdullah, Saudia Arabia, October 21-22-2000, the Prince stated:
First, our support for our Palestinian brothers, should not only be political and moral. It should include all possible means. Accordingly we propose the establishment of a special trust under the name of "The Jerusalem Intifada Fund" with a capital of 200 million US dollars. This amount will be allocated, to the families and the education of the children of the Palestinian martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the struggle. We further propose the establishment of a fund under the name of "Al-Aqsa Fund" in the amount of 800 million dollars, to finance projects that safeguard and constantly preserve the Islamic and Arabic identity of Al-Quds, and enabling our Palestinian brothers to stand on their own and release them from dependence on Israel. I would like to announce, in the name of the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the people of Saudi Arabia, that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia shall contribute 25% of the amount allocated to these two funds.
I would like also to announce that the people of Saudi Arabia, headed by the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, shall undertake to sponsor and support one thousand Palestinian families of the martyred and wounded in the Al-Aqsa Intifada.?
Saudi Dignitaries may condemn Terrorism but money also supports Terrorist factions.
The attempted bombing on February 22, 2006 on the Abqaiq Oil Refinery was reported to be the actions of bin Laden?s al-Queda.
Incitement by Arabian TV, accompanied by horror pictures of mutilated bodies, has become a powerful weapon of those who distort the facts. Small children are raised on deep hatred and on admiration of the so-called martyrs.
The Danish Cartoons which continue to spark civil riots throughout the Mid East were the result of TV. coverage and agitators in many Moslem countries.
Having seen the cartoons, I find them no more offensive than the political and religious cartoons appearing in most U.S. newspapers. This includes the U.S. Veteran with amputated Limbs and the Secretary of Defense which was was completely grotesque.
Cartoonists express their view of the world, politics to personal opinions, free speech in most countries. They do not represent governments and certainly are not a catalyst to incite riots and murder stateside.
