Some 13 Eritrean opposition groups ready to form umbrella organization:EPDF

Some 13 Eritrean opposition groups said they would form an umbrella organization to hasten the fall of the dictatorial regime.
According to a statement the Eritrean Popular Democratic Front (EPDF) sent to WIC today, the Executive Committee of the front has assessed the current situation of Eritrea at its second regular meeting held recently.
The committee, which indicated that the regime is on the verge of collapse, however cautioned of a looming danger of disintegration as the opposition have not yet consolidated their unity.
To avert the danger it is high time that opposition groups pulled their resources to transform the struggle to higher level, the statement elaborated.
Accordingly, the readiness of 13 Eritrean opposition groups to hold a conference next month to form a common front is a step forward, it noted.
The front finally appealed to the international community to play their role in peacefully and legally resolving the Ethio-Eritrea border dispute to avert war.
