Cheney To Finally Break Silence About Shooting
What has been described by witnesses as an accident has been blown out of control by a media that is hell bent on finding fault with Vice President Dick Cheney. No one argues with the issues in the accident, but with the fact that it took the VP so long to disclose the accident.
One expert said it comes down to the fact that the AP and other major news outlets did not like the fact that they had to get their info from a small newspaper. Makes me think about the humbling of the giants.
It seems this hunting accident is being blown way out of control because the media have nothing better to do with their time. I guess Iran restarting their uranium program, or the bloody riots over a Danish cartoon are boring them.
For those who have been out of touch with the news, it would appear that the Vice President was hunting on a private ranch owned by the Armstrongs. While he was setting his shot when Whittingham, 78, came out unannounced in the shot. He was pelted with bird shot.
Cheney, generally a private man, has not said anything about the incident, so the media has taken him to task. Maybe they think that making a mountain out of a mole hill will get him to change his ways. My guess is that he will punish them. Perhaps his appearance on Fox, a known conservative network, is doing just that. It seems they will have to get their info yet once again from another source.
Maybe the lesson for the media is trying to feed off a stupid accident will eventually lead to being cut off. I don't think Cheney should give them the time of day.
Funny they have gone after this, but have said nothing on REAL news.
