Ghosts and Spirits at Devils Creek

David Slone
So just recently me and about four friends were bored, so we started sharing stories. One of my friends told us about a haunted place called Devil's creek. We were about a good 20 miles from it. So we went off and bought flashlights and brand new batteries for our digital cameras. After that we went off to find this so called haunted place.

We drove for hours and got lost plenty of times, but finally, we found the location. I have to admit I was freaked out just by looking at the place. It was around midnight at the time and just seeing gravestones and woods all around us wasn't my thing. We all got out of the car and looked around. Two of my friends started randomly taking pictures hoping that something would show up.

After 10 minutes I got a weird eerie chill. I felt like I wasn't safe at all. Some guy that tagged only with us was drunk so he walked over and pissed on one of the headstones. Soon afterwards crazy stuff started happing. Even though I had on a good warm jacket I was still freezing and shaking.

Me and my friends started hearing noises, something like muffled words, but we couldn't make out what it was. One of my friends, Josh, looked down at his camera, the batteries were dead, but they were brand new. I pulled out my cell phone and it was about dead, along with everyone else's. We got even more freaked out and left after that.

Once we drove away Josh looked back down to his camera and it was charged again, along with my cell phone. Finally we made it to town and we looked at the pictures we all took. It had to be the most terrifying thing I have seen. In one of the pictures it sorta looked like a face, in another you see part of a hand pointing towards the camera and a few others had smog or smoke looking stuff, but I think that might had been breath or maybe even cigarette smoke. I cant even describe the feeling I had at Devil's creek. That place is haunted for sure. I am positive about that.

Later, back at the house my friend said she could have sworn she heard faint screaming and muffled coughing also. All I have to say is I am not going back to that place for a very long time. I have heard stories from other people about that place though. Some say they stayed out there an hour taking pictures and in the picture it looks like a demon coming up from the ground. Another said after a few minutes of staying around there they poured baking soda on the sides of their car. They went off walking, so no one was around the car. When they returned they saw handprints all over it. Another story I heard from my friend is the first time he went there. His friend went off walking into the graveyard and after a few feet he fell to the ground holding his throat gasping for air. I have to admit those stories and my experience scared me.
