The other Jesus

Rod Smith
The returning Jesus of Revelation in the Bible is the other Jesus. He wonīt resemble the image that most churches - and hence the flock - portray nowadays.

No more will He fit the churches' namby-pamby, sugar-coated Jesus of today. When He returns He won't be the cute little baby in a manger. He won't be the now-depicted love-everyone Jesus who seems to ignore everyone's sin right now, no matter what they do.

Revelation describes the returning Jesus. [John speaking, who was told to write down what is to come]

Chapter 1 verse 14: "His head and his hair were white as wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

15 "And his feet were like fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

16 "And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two edged sword: and his countenance was like the sun shining in its strength.

17 "And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

18 "I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death."

On return, He'll be the Jesus who punishes the scoffers and those who have rejected Him. For them it will be too late. Now, people brush Him away like a buzzing fly. Then, they will gaze on Him with shock, awe and remorse.

Yes, God is love, but He is also the God of justice and wrath. In recent years the pussyfooting, offend-no-one preachers on the platform have failed to tell of this. The patience of Jesus with the human race will eventually expire. Not "nice to hear," but Bible truth.

When Jesus returns He won't be the humble, disfigured, suffering man on the cross who forgave the flogging, crown of thorns, verbal abuse, the nailing to the cross. Revelation says the resurrected Jesus will return in might, in power and glory to administer God's justice on a (mostly) Christ-rejecting world. It will be awesome.

Immediately before Jesusī return the wrath of God will be poured out on Planet Earth. What of the much-vaunted environment? God will destroy it. There will be a new heaven and new Earth. If you are under 60 there's a very good chance the Second Coming will occur sometime in your life. This writer thinks within the next ten years. Why?

Because the anti-Christ New World Order – a monitor-everyone system described in a previous article - is fast taking shape. Midway through its reign, God's awesome wrath on this world will come, and Jesus will return. Itīs all in Revelation. The time for non-believers to repent is running out. If you are a born-again Christian you should not fear coming events.

Putting the future aside, the truth is that anyone can be gone today from this world; in a split second, anytime, anyplace. It would be wise to turn to Jesus now.
