Jacoby Jones arrested for dui and related legal news

In the latest of a string of celebrity or athlete arrests for automobile related crimes such as dui, dwi or reckless driving, Jacoby Jones, who just happens to be a receiver of the national football league team the Houston Texans, was arrested several days ago in the downtown district of Houston, Texas. Since then he has been released on bail pending his court date for dui. There is no word as of yet on how the 'Texans' NFL management will view this incident, and what actions will be undertaken, yet while a suspension is perhaps not particularly likely, a team fine seems possible given their history in similiar cases.
According to the Houston Police Department spokesperson in this case, Sergeant John Chomiak, it was not clear yet as to precisely why the authorities in this case found reason to pull his automobile over at around 3 in the morning last weekend.
The incident in question happened near the downtown district of Houston and as mentioned before the official investigation still going on. It was made quite clear by the authorities that there was no automobile crash involved when the Houston Police Dept. officers pulled the vehicle he was driving in over, which naturally makes one wonder if he was weaving in traffic or driving erratically in some other way. it is expected that the relevent authorities in this case will release more information soon, in all likelihood.
So far he has been taken into police custody and processed, and eventually charged with driving while intoxicated. He then had his bail set at five hundred dollars, which was later paid by the player completely. He was then released after the bail was paid that day and it has been reported that this was his only driving under the influence offense to date. There has been no comment up to this point from Jones or his team about this weekend incident of driving under the influence or what will happen to his participation with his football team.
