The Muhammad Cartoon Controversy Being Expolited by Muslim Clerics and Polilticians

Secularists place a high premium on individuality, but fundamentalists worship conformity.
Fundamentalists shouldn't be seen as individuals who share the same beliefs, but as a single, in most cases, malevolent entity.
We have witnessed the destructive power of this entity, as it set fire to Danish and Norwegian diplomatic missions in Damascus and stormed the Danish Embassy in Beirut. This evil force also seized European offices in the Gaza Strip and staged demonstrations in Egypt and Afghanistan.
Why are Muslims so outraged, has America threatened to nuke Iran, or has Israel declared it's going to wipe out Hamas -- once and for all?
Muslims are up in arms because a Danish newspaper, a few months ago, published caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad.
One cartoon shows Mohammed wearing a turban shaped as a bomb with a burning fuse. To a devout Muslim that's blasphemous, but to the cartoonist, and to most of us in the West, it's valid political satire.
When you want to incite believers who see things in black and white, all it takes is a cartoon to encourage them to unleash hell on earth.
A fundamentalist Christian will turn to his pastor for guidance, a fundamentalist Muslim will turn to his cleric for advice.
If a Jerry Falwell or a Pat Robertson declares that "homosexuality is a sin", disturbed individuals will take their message to heart and murder a Matthew Shepard.
If a Muslim cleric declares that a cartoon that was published months ago in an obscure Danish newspaper blasphemes Islam, the faithful will take his message to heart and riot, commit arson and murder a Roman Catholic priest.
There is no doubt that the cartoon controversy has been exploited by some Muslim countries. The corrupt dictators of these Islamic countries would rather their citizens release their pent up anger at the West, and not at them.
If Palestianians are protesting against a cartoon, mabye thy won't torch the offices of the Palestinian Authority for stealing hundreds of millions in Western economic aid.
It is time for Muslim clerics to put an end to this insanity. When Muslims torch embassies, murder innocent people,and call for the death of Western Civilization, it does very little to paint Islam as a religion that fosters peace and brotherhood.
