Impeach NOW!

The United States Constitution states in Article II, Section 4: "The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."

Up until now there have been three Presidential impeachment proceedings -- one in 1868 against President Andrew Johnson for his removal of Secretary of War Edwin Stanton in violation of the Tenure of Office Act – then again 1974 against President Richard Nixon for the Watergate cover-up (106 years after Johnson) -and the last one in 1998-99 against President Bill Clinton for concealing an extramarital affair (24 years after Nixon).

If impeachment proceedings for lying over personal misconduct are in order, in the proceedings against President Clinton, then certainly lying to take our country into war on faked up charges are appropriate. I would like to invite everyone who reads this article to unite with a large number of disenchanted citizens of our Great Nation to petition Congress to urge the Impeachment of George W. Bush and his cohorts for the way they have lied about the so called weapons of mass destruction and the grave threat Iraq posed to the United States, and causing untold thousands of deaths to innocent men, women and children in Afghanistan and Iraq. According to the memo that was leaked to the London Times and published on May 7, 2005 it told how the plans for the so-called pre-emptive strike was planned 8 months prior to the 9/11 attacks. Blair and Bush were just waiting for an excuse to initiate an uncalled for war.

These misguided leaders of our great country have violated the Constitution, the Nuremberg Charter and Geneva Conventions by waging wars of aggression against Afghanistan, Iraq and threatening other nations. Through these actions tens of thousands of people have been killed while leading a growing number, now over 1,600, young American men and women in the U. S. Armed Forces to their death in this criminal war and occupation of Iraq. They have attacked the civil rights and civil liberties of the people of the United States in their efforts to tear apart the Bill of Rights and reverse decades of hard-won social justice accomplishments.

I personally invite you to join the many other people of our land in our efforts to impeach George W. Bush, Richard B. Cheney, Donald Rumsfield and John Ashcroft today.
