Rep. Pete Stark Signs onto Cheney Articles of Impeachment

David Swanson
From Pete Stark:

I´d like to thank the thousands of people who took the time to respond to my constituent survey and invite folks to review the preliminary results below. If you have not yet completed the survey, you are encouraged to make your voice heard in the final online tally.

As your Representative in Congress, I work hard to advance your values. Thankfully, your priorities are a pleasure to stand up for. Survey results confirm our community cares deeply about our children, families, and schools.

Based on preliminary results, I have already taken several important actions. First, I co-sponsored House Resolution 333. If passed, this resolution would impeach Vice President Dick Cheney. Doing so is necessary before we can impeach President George Bush.

Second, I will redouble efforts to work with colleagues to move forward legislation that would allow the millions of uninsured people age 55 through 64 to buy into Medicare. Third, I will continue to oppose retroactive immunity for the telecommunications companies that complied with the Administration´s warrantless wiretapping program.

You are invited to attend March, April, and May town meetings and continue to make your voice heard.

Sincerely,

Pete

This makes 26 cosponsors, or 27 total members including the orginal sponsor of H Res 333, Congressman Dennis Kucinich, who won his reelection primary today. For more information, see: http://impeachcheney.org
