Supicious Activity along the Border or Business as Usual
President Bush called for all citizens to be vigilant in a time of War for unusual suspicious activities and people. The War against Terrorism is and was a correct decision.
The United States has logged numerous attempted bombing plans predating 911 including the first attack on the WTC in 1993. Attacks on U.S. Embassy’s are also attacks on U.S. soil from locations in African nations to any site in the world.
It was curious returning to a rural home in Southern Arizona in 2002. Suspicious activities and people, multi-thousands of (unknown factors) illegal aliens were pouring across the borders from Cochise County to the Organ Pipe National Park.
There were military incursions, shots fired at Border Patrol vehicles and U.S. Park Ranger Kris Eggle was murdered by AK-47 fire at the hands of narcotics “hit men who had just fulfilled several murder contracts across the line in Mexico. Chased by Federalies, after a brief Mexican firefight, the thugs entered the U.S.
Ranger Eggle was assisting Border Patrol Agents when he was killed. His assailant was also shot and expired. International incident? Without a doubt!
In August 2002, when the majority of elected leaders were on vacation or couldn’t be bothered, Congressman Tom Tancredo of Colorado was here for Arizona and a funeral. The Congressman also toured some very dangerous smuggling trails with a member of the Border Patrol Union.
From 2002 to 2003, rural citizens complained to elected leaders in Arizona on a continual basis regarding the constant influx of illegal aliens. Standard form letters were usually the only reply. In December 2003, President Bush announced his Guest Worker Plan to the Country and World.
By the end of January 2004, the U.S. Border Patrol had arrested 34,342 illegal aliens in Tucson Sector. 16,579 were arrested in Cochise County. The amount caught is roughly one out of every five that enter without inspection. Judicial Watch, Washington D.C. confirmed most illegal crossers entered in response to the proposed Guest Worker/Amnesty plan.
There were many outstanding journalists in Arizona 2004 who interviewed numerous sources, and actually took the time to see the problem with news crews, and documentary evidence. CNN Presents, American Legion, World Report HD TV are just a few that saw Arizona in a manner that was a reality on issues most Medias would not touch.
Probably the best investigative reporting of 2004 was Time Magazines Expose “Who Left the Door Open” Sept 12, 04. Reporters stated that “The total of illegal aliens flooding into the United States will be 3 million--enough to fill 22,000 737 Boeing Airliners or 60 flights every day for a year “.
Four years after 911, the millions that have entered our country, illegally is not considered a suspicious activity.
Along the hundreds of smuggling trails in Southern Arizona are miles of trash, literal tons of garbage and debris left behind by illegal aliens. Travel documents, passports, OTM foreign identification cards, links to foreign addresses, Mexican air and bus receipts are included in the general mess. Arabic prayer rugs and other otherwise suspicious items are standard finds in the desert crossings and usually given to DHS by concerned citizens.
True identities are required for every citizen and legal resident alien of the United States. Use of an assumed name AKA can be a criminal offense in any state, unless the person is an illegal alien.
