If you find yourself stuck and unable to make progress in a certain area of your life, it may be time to stop stating what is occurring and instead start asking questions. Questions have a way of altering your current state of affairs The first question to ask yourself is:

1. What am I really passionate about?

This may seem like a simple question and yet, so many people give more thought to the car they drive, then to the things they really want to create in their life. Your answers to this powerful question should be something that really excites you. Do you want to enhance your wealth, create better health, take more vacations, write a book, change careers? If you can get fired up thinking about it in the morning and are still excited throughout the day then youīve found a goal worth achieving! If you really desire to get in shape it will happen. If your desire is to become more financially secure, then it will become a reality.

Problems arise when people write down goals that are things they are not passionate about. "I should lose weight." "I need more money." "I want to feel better." "I need to find a different career." These goals are too generic and lack real passion. If your goal is to lose weight, then find a way to write it in an exciting way. "When I get in shape Iīm going on a 7 day cruise in 2009 with my spouse. I know I can do this, I am committed to healthy exercise and eating nutritious great tasting food. I am going to start cleaning out my closet of old clothes that make me feel heavy." The better you can articulate your passion, the more likely you are to complete the task. Try this simple exercise, sit down with a sheet of paper and write down a few things you really want to create in your life, goals that you are passionate about. Donīt be afraid to list some big achievements as well as some simpler tasks. When you have passion, virtually everything is possible. When you lack passion, everything seems impossible.

Now that you have your list you need to ask yourself this question:

2. What am I willing to change or give up to achieve these things?

Answering this question is very important in reaching most goals. Albert Einstein stated "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result." If you want to lose weight, are you willing to start eating more fruits and vegetables and changing out the can of soda for water? If you desire to attract a mate, are you willing to stop focusing on the past and what didnīt work out? Are you willing to stop blaming others? If you desire additional finances, are you willing to stop worrying about your lack of abundance every day? While many of us donīt mean to be our own worst enemy, we have created habits and situations and tend to keep saying and doing the same thing. We repeat the same mental patterns and speaking phrases over and over and then wonder why there is no movement. Remember, to achieve a different result you must take action and begin thinking, speaking and acting in a different way.

3. How can I achieve my goal?

The great thing about this last question is that you donīt have to know the answer! Your job is not to focus on the answer, but instead keep asking the question until you reach your goal. For example, letīs say that a group of friends is going on a vacation and you want to go too, but you keep telling yourself "I canīt afford to go." Instead of stating what you consider to be your reality start asking a question. "How can I afford to go with my friends? What can I change and do differently to afford this vacation?" When you ask questions your brain automatically begins to shift the energy to help you make decisions that will help you reach your goals. Perhaps you discover that saving $90 a month for a year is not that difficult, maybe you find a great rate on airfare, attract more clients, get a refund or inherit some money. The point is not to focus on how you are going to create wealth, but instead listen and be open for solutions. This technique can work for nearly every situation. Instead of saying, "I canīt lose weight" say "How can I lose weight?īī If you desire to be in relationship donīt say, "Itīs difficult to date in this town" instead say "How can I meet someone wonderful?" Everything is energy, and when you use questions in place of negative statements, you begin to alter your energy and the energy of those around you. Solutions will begin to manifest and present themselves in your life. These small energy shifts start a chain reaction that creates meaningful and long lasting changes in your life.
