Elhashemy's Broad Spectrum Luqaimat Diet Plan ......3. The Pizza Factor

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Elhashemy
Elhashemy's Broad Spectrum Luqaimat Diet Plan is a comprehensive strategy that employs specific food types of micro-sized meals (Luqaimat in Arabic language) to induce different biological and psychological responses, with the purpose of obtaining ideal body weight and maintaining it for life.

Since the start of 2008, I worked hard to develop a broad spectrum Luqaimat diet plan which depends mainly on using Luqaimat as multifunctional approach for successful weight loss. I hope that the readers join me and my obese patients in following my very successful easy diet plan.

The first element of Elhashemy's broad spectrum Luqaimat diet is boosting the count of the slimming gut flora (bacteroidetes). This could be achieved through:

1. Eating special forms of dairy products (dairy factor),

2. Avoiding as much as possible food contaminated with antibiotics, hormones, or pesticides (organic food factor), and

3. Eating Pizza with healthy specifications (the pizza factor).

I discussed in my latest two articles the first two factors (both the dairy factor and the organic food factor); you can read about them if you search my articles on American Chronicle site. I will discus in the present article the third factor that can boost the slimming gut flora, which is the pizza factor.

Attention pizza lovers. I will help you lose weight using your beloved pizza. I made comparative clinical studies to boost the percentage of the slimming gut flora so as to let you lose weight using your beloved food. Pizza is one of the most popular and beloved food allover the world.

Pizza is not a bad fast food; however, one of its drawbacks is that obese people usually don´t stop eating until they finish their order, even if it is of the large size. Another drawback occurs if it is stuffed with processed meat, which is a common non-healthy feature of most fast foods. The third drawback is that take-out pizza is placed in cardboard box. Cardboard is usually made of recycled paper that may be loaded with inks and adhesives. This means a great possibility to contaminate your hot pizza with phthalate (a toxic chemical which can lead among other side effects to increasing body weight). The heat of the pizza makes the phthalate in the cardboard box volatile, so it will be a bad constituent of this pizza.

On the other side, if we avoid these three drawbacks of the pizza, namely: the big size, the processed meat, and the cardboard box container; pizza will be a very effective way in reducing your body weight.

In order to eat a nourishing healthy pizza, to reach satiety, and to lose weight all in the same time, the Pizza should have the following specifications:

1. Small-sized (maximum 10 inches in diameter),

2. Extensively loaded with vegetables (especially mushrooms),

3. Packed with high-quality organic protein (especially seafood), and

4. Backing the dough for a long period.

These specifications will result in highly nourishing dieting pizza. The inclusion of a lot of vegetables which is rich in fibers lead to satiating the gut, the inclusion of tuna or organic meat lead to satiating the hunger centers of the brain, and the presence of fermented crusty dough lead to boosting the gut slimming flora. The longer fermented and backed dough of pizza has a powerful antioxidant healthy effect, as announced by researchers of Maryland University in March 2007.

Starting January 2008, I advised a group of 33 volunteers from my obese patients to follow my patent diet plan: Elhashemy's Broad Spectrum Luqaimat Diet Plan; and they lost up till now an average of 15 pounds by the end of the sixth week of their diet course. They ate 5 times per week homemade pizza with the above mentioned specifications in addition to my regular Luqaimat diet (micro-meals) which includes special dairy products and organic foods several times daily.

I will discuss this very successful broad spectrum Luqaimat diet plan in expanded details in September 2008 in my upcoming diet book.
