Clinton Machine running out of gas as Obama wins big again
With Wisconsin firmly behind Obama the young Senator from Illinois is proving to America that he may in fact have what it takes to be a leader. He has now won 10 straight primaries and is eyeing Texas and Ohio as his leadership qualities come to the forefront. His sister Maya Soetoro-Ng stumped for him in Hawaii and delivered a 76%-24% victory. Unless Sen. Clinton can pull off around 58-60% of voters in all the remaining states she will not be nominated. As Sen. Obama knows this is not over but his lead is growing and it is his to lose so there is still work to do.
Obama is showing his ability to withstand whatever is thrown his way. Now even the McCain Camp is trying to toss a few jabs his way and they too are finding him very hard to hit. Jumping down Mrs. Obama´s words were shrugged off as it was an obvious cheap shot by leaving out that she was proud that her country has again achieved a level of hope not seen in over 40 years. And as many say "is that all the opponents of Obama can muster"?
There are times when a leader comes forward who can rally the troops and bring a high level of encouragement and enthusiasm to the table. Someone that doesn´t use words to divide but those words that unite us for a common cause. As history has proven time and again to divide you will fall as it takes everyone to work together to achieve the goals that are needed to bring back the American dream we were told could be possible.
With Obama we are seeing that his campaign is not a campaign of race, gender or political affiliation as most have been. It is a Campaign by and for America and the future of all that understand we must dwell on the important issues and not be distracted by the petty distractions of the past. We can no longer afford to sit by and just allow this group or that to tie Washington up as the majority of Americans suffer. All great societies are judged on how they treat their weakest members and our recent past has been a disgrace.
Unlike Reagan Economics we can´t believe that change trickles down. We must push change from the bottom up. Time will tell as we move on to Texas and Ohio, The Clinton Playbook may have some pages that we have never seen but as history has shown Hillary will fight but it´s our decisions that matter. We choose the type of campaign that we will tolerate. If we really want change then we must show it by our votes and voices. And as this primary season continues we must prove that "Yes We Can".
