Improving Sports Performance Easily and Legally – Even if You´re 70

Aging sucks. Now if you´re reading this article, I bet you´re someone who enjoys working up a sweat in the gym or striking golf balls on the fairway. In short, you´re an adrenalin junkie, aren't you?

But here´s the problem we all face: aging and slowing down. Gradually, your sports performance starts to fade. If that doesn´t hurt your morale, I don´t know what else will.

Wouldn´t it be amazing if there´re easy and legal secrets to retard the decay of sports performance? You only need to understand three basic principles.

First, understand that the human body is highly adaptable. This means you can start serious training at an older age and still become competitive. In general, throughout your active sporting lifespan, you should able to consistently work out near your lactic threshing or maximum effort.

Second, know that there´s a marked difference between training hard and training often. One of the biggest determinants of sports and endurance performance is oxygen consumption. So when given a choice, pick intense over frequent training.

This allows your body to adapt to the intensity by increasing its oxygen consumption. And this ties in nicely with my first point, doesn´t it? But wait, there´s more.

Third, there´re exceptions to the rule. You may be one of those lucky few who naturally perform better as you age. Interestingly, your drive and self-motivation simply refuse to fade despite operating with an older body.

Case in point: the world record timing for a marathon for men above 70 is 2:54:05, and – are you ready for this? – it´s actually four minutes faster than the winning marathon time at the first modern Olympics in 1896 held in Athens.

Certainly, aging is not something pleasurable. But we can all take heart that aging with competitive grace is certainly achievable.
