John McCain, The Medias Unfortunate Choice
Most of the causes McCain has championed in his 20 plus years in congress have been liberal, he stand with Democrats on nearly every issue that comes up. If McCain was the leader he claims to be he would have worked harder to bring bipartisanship about in congress. John McCain has a military mentality, he believes those of higher rank are entitled to dictate to those of lesser status. As much as he professes McCain doesn´t believe in "We the People" as a concept of governing. Arguable he would disagree however his record clearly says otherwise.
We all have a great deal of respect for John McCain for enduring the conditions of a prisoner of war for five and a half years. For him to present himself as a military genius is ludicrous, McCain was far from the Vietnam Wars greatest squadron leader, he was better known for crashing airplanes and blowing up aircraft carriers. More often than not he was on the carpet for Cowboying. John McCain´s father was one of the architects of the Vietnam War, not junior. John McCain has taken more spins around the truth than Bill Clinton and Al Gore ever thought of. There are many former prisoners of war that no one remembers probably because they aren´t continually reminding people.
So many Washingtonians have lost sight of the fact political arrogance is not the road to success. Once every two years the voters have the opportunity to explain to the candidates, "We the People" are the deciders. The public resents and doesn´t reward those who lecture them. We are seeing this as Bill Clinton points his finger at his audiences and makes demands while ignoring their feelings, anyone who disagree with a Clinton is severely reprimanded on the spot.
John McCain claims to be a leader rather than a manager. In his 20 plus years in congress he´s never held a leadership position. When he and his collogues claim, on the one hand their successes and on the other complain of all the things that are wrong in the country something isn´t adding up. Anyone who´s read the constitution knows congress is the final decider of laws made by our government. Presidents can´t lead those who refuse to follow. We have only 1 president and 535 congressmen and women. What are the odds?
Mitt Romney is a man who´s been there and done that, McCain has diminished Romney´s credentials as a leader saying he is simply a manager. Management is something the government hasn´t had in generations. Washington needs management even more than it needs leadership in the coming years. This country needs a sound financial policy more than it needs tax rebates paid for with borrowed money.
For years congress has gained in their disregard for the public and the constitution, John McCain along with many others has been a party to congressional arrogance for the past 20 plus years. The 110th Congress has surpassed all the previous congresses in total disregard for the constitution and the rules the founding fathers set down for the government to follow on behalf of "We the People".
The United States of America belongs to the people not the bureaucrats. We want it back and sure as hell one day we´ll take it back by vote or by other means if necessary, the decision is up to the politicians.
