Britney's past behavior should be taken as an excuse to haunt her in these circumstances. The community must listen to Dr. Phil’s views because they are based on experience.

Reportedly, Dr. Phil has defended his visit to Britney as favor to family. It is also reported that in his view she needs help. Those measuring Britney with normal yardstick must not forget that she is a mother struggling to stay with her kids.

The negative medical test reports absolving her of any substance abuse has ended rumors about Britney.

Looking beyond the reports of what actually transpired the community should not hound her for something that may not be true in the first place. Reportedly, the fallen pop star had in fact spent two nights in Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after failing to surrender her two sons, initiating a three hour standoff with cops. The very experience drained her strength and she had to be taken to the hospital. It may or may not be the final truth as often is the case with celebrities. The media also en-cashes on such ambiguities because it is good business.

Amidst unconfirmed reports that Britney suffers from bi-polar disorder or is trying to get even with younger Spear basking in media spotlight the real truth lies in what Dr. Phil had to say. Reportedly, the TV doctor is of the opinion that Britney is in need of immediate help. The bipolar disorder is characterized by depression at one end of spectrum and mania on the other.

Britney must be helped to protect her from doing anything irrational including taking her own life so that two boys have their mother around as they grow up. Stressed parents are often at risk of taking extreme measures especially in the environment that surrounds her.

Finally, this should be the only criterion for days to come to deal with Britney, including media. Britney should not be pushed in a way that aggravates her condition that may trigger another similar episode. There is no dearth of popular celebrities to fill the front pages. The business should not come at the cost of someone’s life who happens to be a mother also. Britney's past behavior should be taken as an excuse to haunt her in these circumstances. The community must listen to Dr. Phil’s views because they are based on experience.
