What will $32 Trillion Dollars buy?

Michael C. Morris
America loves to shop, but also love to get a bargain and bang for the buck, a SALE. That America has spent $32,000,000,000,000.00 on the war in Iraq, what did we get for our buck and what could we have accomplished with that money?

Well let’s explore what we could have done with the money. We could have feed, housed and clothed the world’s poor, while the house would have been a one or two room house, it could have been done. We could have found a cure for cancer and HIV. We could have developed automobiles that made little or no pollution (and thereby not needing oil) and solved the global warming problem. We could have explored the local universe maybe even setting up a city on Mars or the moon. We could have fully funded social security forever and had universal health care for everyone with the same level we get with private health care. We could have paid off all credit card debt and all of the foreclosures of American homes. I could go on. So what did we get for our money?

Well, there are 1,200,000 innocent Iraq men, women and children at a cost of $2,666,666.00 per person kill rate. There are 5 million orphans in Iraq. 4,000 American sons and daughters are dead, 100,000 wounded. We are approaching $100 per barrel of oil. Each American household has a tax bill of $455,000.00 per household due. That you’re great, great, great grandchildren will be in debt to China. We got $362,000,000.00 (1/3 of a trillion dollars) in cash loaded into 3 aircraft, flown to Iraq, and disappeared on the runway. Did anyone ever find out where that cash went? Some other questions, are we any safer than we were prior to 911? Is Osama bin Laden in custody?

The War on Terror will eventually go down in the history books as the world’s greatest con job perpetrated upon the American people. We will eventually find out that the true purpose behind this “war” was to replenish the military industrial complex corporate treasuries for the next 100 years and install the “new world order of fear” into American societal acceptance.

Using fear to control a society is not new, except here in America where fear and failure were not an option. The past history of our nation was that our government feared the retribution of the people of the United States, now they have reversed that in that We the People fear our government even to the point that when the criminal activity by our government is so blatant we cower in our soon to be foreclosed on homes with not so much as a whimper. Shame on you America!

As for me, I will continue to use my God given talent to inform you of the truth until I am silenced by our government, which if you read some of the new “terrorist” laws in the works maybe for only a short time. America, you need to raise you fist in the air and draw the line in the sand that you will no longer allow this government to operate beyond the law and the will of the American people. If you don’t, your grand children will be someone’s indentured servant. Is that what you want for your children?
