The SPP or You Can Call it the North American Union: Part 1 of 3
Good evening, everybody. Tonight, an astonoshing proposal to expand our borders to incorporate Mexico and Canada and simultaneously further diminish U.S. sovereignty. Have our political elites gone mad?” -June 9, 2005.
As a matter of fact, Mr. Dobbs is the only prominent mainstream news anchor who has struck the alarm bells about such a proposal. It's not so much about the dimishing US sovereignty that caught my attention. It was the mention of political elites going mad that caught my interest. Who are these political elites he spoke of? And if they are planning such a bold North American community, in the same style as the EU, then don't you think we, as an American society, should be deeply involved in the debate? I have read countless articles, and reports, about such plans in Oldthinkernews.com, the World Net Daily, Adbusters magazine, UTNE magazine, Judicial Watch (which is by far the best in obtaining secret documents about the SPP through the FOIA) and as well as the Security and Prosperity Partnership’s own website. Anyone from the public can look up these reports themselves. As a matter of fact, I recommend that everyone does. I recall the day I learned of the proposed North American Union by a sign twirler I befriended at work named Bill. He was an avid Christian, highly religious in his own right and very politically aware, who was convinced that a network of financial elitist, hell bent on total world domination, was part of this integration process.
Have you ever heard of the Amero?” He asked one day before I clocked into work.
The Amero?” I searched my thoughts. “No. Never. What is that?”
You should look into it and let me know what it is. I know that it's part of this North American Union plan.”
"North American Union? What the hell is that?"
"Look it up."
So I did.
At first, the Amero sounded a lot like the Euro, the European Union’s currency. I Googled the word and found all kinds of information about it. Indeed there is a plan to integrate the economies of Canada, Mexico, and the United States only it is not called the Project for the North American Union. It’s called the Security and Prosperity Project of North America. Now, there are reports that this organization was founded by the Trilateral Commission and the Council of Foreign Relations, and is being funded by the Rockafeller Foundation, but I have found no evidence that supports that theory. Perhaps I am not looking in the right places? What I did learn was that a lot of members of the Trilateral Commission and the CFR have all attended the SPP’s summits and conferences held in numerous parts of Canada, Mexico and the US.
Bruce Stokes, a CFR member spoke at the “Toward a North American Community?” conference on June 11, 2002 stating, “This is how we will create a North American consciousness and a true North American Community. It will forged in the heat of conflict, not through a rational discussion, as painful as that may be. It really cannot happen any other way.”
Of course I cannot say that this is dead on proof that some evil cabal will enforce this North American Union down our throats, but I found it very intriguing that Mr. Stokes would say that the only way to create such a community was in the “heat of conflict.” What exaclty does he mean by ‘heat of conflict’? Such vague implications should keep us on our toes. This conference, according to Daniel Taylor’s article on Oldthinker News, was based on Robert Pastor’s book of the same name, which I may add wrote a book about it and released it on September 12, 2001. Google his name if you do not believe me. Like I mentioned earlier, Mr. Stokes quote was not a threatening one, but when you read other passages from the document from that conference, it makes you wonder what exactly these panelist are planning in order to convince the masses that being called North American citizens is a good thing.
This conference was a departure from many recent events on North America. Instead of looking exclusively at trade and investment, the panelist were asked to focus on relationships in North America and to examine identity, sovereignty, and politcal practices in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. Further economic, political, and social integration will depend on how citizens of the three countries define their national identities and the degree to which they are willing to cede some of their countries’ sovereignty to a larger entity.”
Another quote from Richard Haas, the president of the CFR, "Globalization thus implies that sovereignty is not only becoming weaker in reality, but it needs to become weaker."
When one reads something like this, especially if you are a free loving American, it makes you think about what exactly the SPP, the CFR, and the Trilateral Commission are doing behind those closed doors drawing out the blueprint for a more integrated world they have dubbed globalization. So far, from what I have researched and read, these summits have been closed off to the public. Why? Why the secrecy and not the transperancy? What is it that the SPP are hiding from the public?
I could recall back in August when Bush went to Canada, I believe it was in Montebello, Quebec, to meet with Mexican President Felipe Calderon, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper (mind you all right wing conservatives) for the SPP Conference. The summit was met with fierce opposition on the streets of Montebello, which clashed with an oppressive police force. These ‘anti-globalist’ activist merely wanted more transperancy on this whole North American integration plan. So much for liberty and freedom. Anyway, I read an article where the three respective leaders were all ‘amused’ by the protests and the opposition of the SPP Summit. Now what is so wrong with being more transperant about these new integrating policies? I also found it very hypocritical that Bush said the three leaders, “represent three great nations and each respect each other’s sovereignty.”
He [Bush] went on to say, “It’s quite comical, actually, when you realize the difference between reality and what some people are talking on TV about. You lay out a conspiracy and then force people to try to prove it doesn’t exist. There are some people who would like to frighten our fellow citizens into believing that relations between us are harmful for our respective peoples by using politcal scare tactics.”
Well Mr. President, I am not a conspiracy theorist. I call it the way I see it, and from what I have read it seems that the SPP are doing everything in their power to keep this on the down low. So if our President is willing to make fun of these activist then why won't he simply shut them up by educating the American public about the SPP? And where is our media in all of this? Oh yeah, I forgot Jamie Lynn’s pregancy is much more important than the possible threat of our civil rights, and our sovereignty as a nation. My bad.
Bill was right to feed my hunger for knowledge because if it wasn’t for him, I would have never learned about the SPP. After about a week of research on the internet(from reliable sources I may add), I briefed Bill on what exactly was going to back up the Amero.
"How do you suppose they will succeed in enacting such a Union?" He asked as he munched on his burrito.
"I don't know? I'm guessing you have to sell the idea to the public."
"Yeah," he answered sarcastically, "good luck with that one. The only way these eltist can sell this idea is to manufacture a planned financial crash like they did back in 1929."
"Oh come on?" I replied. "You honestly believe that the crash of 29 was staged?"
"Don't be too naive my friend. You think that governments control the world? Think again. Have you seen the movie Network? There is no America, there is no democracy. There is only ITT, IBM, and ATT. Union Carbide, Dupont, Dow, and Exxon. Those are the nations of the world. From what you have told me, the CFR and the Trilateral Commission are behind the SPP?"
"If you mean behind as in baking up the SPP's goal for a more integrated North America, then yes."
"I don't doubt it. I believe this is all part of a plan that you can look up in the book of revelations where there will be ten kings, and ten kingdoms for ten hours before the return of Christ. What is not to say that this planned integration is part of building this New World Order? One single belief. One single idea. One single government."
"I think you're just paranoid, Bill."
"Am I? It's happening as we speak and we don't even know its happening. I mean you had to research for a week to learn about this SPP. Why the secrecy then?"
He did have a point. On the secrecy part that is. Why indeed must there be secrecy? I sent a letter to my Congresswoman about the matter, but I never received a reply.
So I urge any of you who are reading this to look it up yourselves because you have the power to do so. Don’t rely on me because I am still learning about the world around me. I am merely passing the torch to you just like Bill did to me. You can do what you please with that fire like I did. I am not telling you to march to the White House demanding to stop such a plan. I am telling you to LEARN, and inform yourselves and your peers, about the SPP. After all, it's your right to do so. For all you know, you might like the idea of being called a North American citizen instead of a Mexican, Canadian, or an American citizen.
Hell some of my co-workers liked that idea.
