NLL: Jax Broadcast Schedule
KPDX TV49 (UPN), Comcast CNW TV14, and KCMD 970 AM Will Broadcast Jax Inaugural Season
The Portland LumberJax have announced their partnership with KPDX TV49 (UPN), Comcast CNW TV14, and KCMD 970 AM to broadcast selected games for their 2006 inaugural season.
We are excited to have quite a few of our games broadcast this season,” said Angela Batinovich, managing partner of the Portland LumberJax. “At first, we didn’t expect to broadcast games, but we felt it would be beneficial for our current and future fans. We chose these media partners not only for their support but also for the support of their sister stations.”
KPDX TV49 (UPN) is the sister station of KPTV TV12 (FOX), and KCMD 970AM is the sister station of KUFO 101.1FM. Comcast owns and operates CNW TV14. The aforementioned stations will all provide promotional support throughout the season.
The broadcast schedule also gives us the opportunity to expose other fans to the National Lacrosse League,” continued Batinovich. “We will be following two top rated shows - KCMD 970 AM’s Phil Hendria and UPN’s WWE Smackdown.”
The LumberJax will play their first ever game on Friday, January 13th against the Sting in Arizona. They will play their home opener on Saturday, January 21st against the Colorado Mammoth at the Rose Garden. Individual games tickets are now on sale, as well as special inaugural season Jax Packs and season tickets.
