Jack Cafferty@CNN: A Prime example why the world hates America!

Michael C. Morris
First let me say that I like Jack Cafferty and most of what he has to say. But on Fridays broadcast in the four o’clock segment he started to discuss the school teacher in Sudan who was given 15 days in jail for allowing her school children to name a teddy bear “Mohammed”. During the closing moments of the segment he made a comment that is a prime example of why the world hates us, intolerance and hypocrisy.

While I agree with the gist of the comment by Jack Cafferty, to paraphrase; that they should get a life and it’s only a teddy bear, while imprisoning or whipping a woman for naming a teddy bear Mohammed is stupid to us in America, it has meaning and laws in Sudan that prohibit it. To ignore their laws or claim ignorance is not acceptable, and would not be acceptable here in America.

For America to be so outraged is also very hypocritical. While we stamp our collective feet in protest, yet we are as guilty of outrageous laws and court sentences as those in Sudan, even though we tout ourselves as demigods of judgment of what is right and wrong.

For example, here is America there is a case in which a man has been order to pay his wife alimony. Not unusual. He has to pay her because he is divorcing her and she is in jail for the murder of their son. WHAT? Yes you heard me; he has to pay her alimony even though she is convicted of murdering their son. Believe it or not this is ALSO not unusual as our courts in America are manned by the same evil twisted logic that also rules the Sudanese courts. They were more than likely all trained in evil here in America at our legal hatcheries like Harvard.

My point is that we have no right to criticize someone else’s laws and punishments until we have the courage to clean our own house. When we have the courage to openly criticize and change our courts then we have the right to criticize others laws and courts. We still don’t have the right to force them to change, but We the People do have the right to change our courts and their decisions and stop pretending they are not just as evil as the Sudanese courts and their decisions. When we have the courage to do this, God, and our founding fathers will stop rolling over in their grave.
