Self-hypnosis has brought a new and powerful exercise that will surely make the best in you comes out. It gives you a full privilege to play golf as you have always desired and dreamt about.

Before you go for this ‘getting loose’ exercise, you need to know what is it and why it works for golfers?

What getting loose is?

Watch any game and during breaks you’ll likely see athletes doing things like letting their arms dangle, shaking their hands at their sides, rolling their shoulders, stretching and bending down, letting their heads and necks roll about, running in place, doing little dances on the sidelines. They are of course, trying to ‘get loose’, to work out the tension that builds up in their muscles.

Why do you do ‘getting loose’ in golf?

Golf is not primarily a muscle game by any means, but rather it’s a mind game. Mental Skill is the key factor in golf. In golf you have to release the power you put into the downswing by going with the centrifugal force; of the club head at just the right moment. In other words, it is the fluidity in a movement that counts – the combination of tightening for muscle power and then letting go as arms, shoulders, back, and legs go through a swing or a kick or a throw.

What ‘getting loose’ does for golfers?

Whether its golf or any other game, your play calls for power or finesse, you need to be loose. When Jack Nicklaus knows he needs an extra long tee shot he says, “My objective is to get good and relaxed.”

To loose does not mean to go complete limp. It means free yourself from unnecessary muscle tension. Anxiety makes the release part of any physical move more difficult that’s why the exercise of ‘getting loose’ work wonders.

How to learn ‘getting loose’?

Allot yourself a 10 minute period each day for the next seven days to work on this and to improve your golf.

Exercise schedule: pick a time that is comfortable for you and a place where you can be in a private and won’t be disturbed. Just before going to bed at night is convenient for most people; it will help you get to sleep.

Begin each 10- minute session as follows:

Loosen your clothing and remove your shoes.

Lie down with a pillow under your head (on a bed or on the floor).

Lie flat on your back, feet about 12 to 18 inches apart, arms at your sides.Go as limp as you can from head to foot.

Let your shoulder blades go slightly flat.

Wag your feet; settle in with your legs.

Shake your arms gently, rolling the backs of your hands against the floor.

Roll your head back and forth.

Now concentrate on your breathing and relax.

Think how relax you feel when you are in this position.

All your nervousness and tension is gone.

Create a trigger for this exercise and your mind will remember this and whenever you need to get rid of the feeling of tension and nervousness on the ground of golf all you need to do is to just use that trigger.

This exercise work wonders but practice makes man perfect. Play the game of golf with no tension in your heart.
