Senator Dutton To Host Community Renewal Summit
SACRAMENTO – Sen. Bob Dutton (R-Rancho Cucamonga) will host local and statewide community and business leaders to present resources for job creation, home ownership, and improving the quality of life throughout the Inland Empire.
The 8th Annual Community Renewal Summit will be held Nov. 16th from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Ontario Airport DoubleTree Hotel, 222 North Vineyard Avenue, Ontario.
The Community Renewal Summit, held at different locations throughout the state each year, is free to the public and includes a continental breakfast and lunch for registered participants.
The keynote speaker for this year’s Summitt will be former Harlem Globetrotter Tracy A. Williams.
This event will bring participants together to address some of the most pressing concerns of California’s urban and rural communities: economic development, education and job training, organizational management, youth intervention and crisis management. The goals are to provide important resources that empower community and business leaders with skills to invigorate their communities and to provide lawmakers with firsthand knowledge of how to better address these issues through public policy.
What excites me about this program is that it truly seeks to strengthen community, not by state mandates, but rather through connecting communities,” said Senator Bob Dutton.
This one-day summit will guide participants through workshops, discussion group sessions with legislators, keynote addresses and statewide networking opportunities. Presenters who have developed some of California’s best revitalization programs will provide practical “blueprints” to participants.
Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged. For information and to register go to www.communityrenewal.net or call 916-651-1762.
The event is sponsored by Capitol Resource Institute, State Farm, Washington Mutual, California Association of Realtors, San Manuel Band of Mission Indians and Kaiser Permanente.
