DENHAM SCORES 100% WITH TAXPAYERS

MERCED – The California Taxpayers’ Association released their legislative report card yesterday grading Senator Jeff Denham (R-Merced) with a perfect score for voting in-line with taxpayers. Denham was one of thirty lawmakers between the Senate and Assembly to earn this honor.

I am proud and honored to have once again earned a perfect rating with Cal-Tax,” Denham proudly commented. “Government should not be adding more bureaucratic regulations on business and raising taxes on hardworking families. I support legislation that protects taxpayers and creates a business-friendly environment that will generate more jobs.”

This is not the first year that Denham has earned perfect marks.

Senator Denham has consistently voted to protect the residents of his district from higher taxes, scoring a perfect 100 percent every year since he was elected,” said Cal-Tax Acting President Teresa Casazza. “We thank Senator Denham for protecting family budgets from the impact of higher taxes.”

The Cal-Tax Voting Record, available online at www.caltax.org, is compiled annually to provide Californians with a valuable tool to determine how state legislators acted on major tax and fiscal legislation, and to hold elected officials accountable for anti-taxpayer votes.
